Beyond the Sky

Si les plus beaux paysages sont au-dessus de la ligne d’horizon chaque continent a son génie du ciel ....  Le ciel change chaque jour et imprime d’imperceptibles nuances grâce à ses nuages aux mille et une formes. Tout ciel nuageux en forme de gaze longiforme donnent cette « mélancolique lessive d’or du couchant » dont parlait si bien Rimbaud .... La fin d'été approche et nous pouvons observer maintenant un ciel plein de gros nuages blancs et aux nuances de gris, bourgeonnants, rembourrés, cotonneux, mais aussi lumineux comme des lampes au reflets lactescent …. 
J'ai essayé d'être représentatif de ce phénomène avec les nuances harmoniques de ce concept ….

The sky changes every day and prints imperceptible nuances thanks to its clouds with a thousand and one shape. All cloudy sky in the shape of a long gauze give this "melancholic laundry of the sunset" of which Rimbaud spoke so well .... The end of summer is approaching and we can now observe a sky full of large white clouds and shades of gray, budding, padded, cottony, but also luminous like lamps with lactscent reflections …. I tried to be representative of this phenomenon with the harmonic nuances of this concept ....

Gentle Rain

Cogito ergo sum is a previously unreleased instrumental demo by DestKorn, created in June 2024. The piece is built on the intimate interplay of cello and piano, carrying a melancholic and almost fragile atmosphere. It was never released anywhere – only here, exclusively on SoundCloud, you can listen to it.
Please forgive if the pitch or sound quality isn’t perfect in every detail – this demo is a raw glimpse into my creative process, capturing the unpolished essence of that very moment.

The instruments were created using EastWest and Spitfire Audio libraries, capturing the distinctive character of cello and piano.

The title Cogito ergo sum translates to “I think, therefore I am.” It was chosen because this work is more than just an instrumental – it is a thought, an existential truth transformed into music. Each note is part of that thought, a silent dialogue without words. By listening, you give life to this thought and carry it forward.

Cogito ergo sum ist ein bisher unveröffentlichtes Instrumental-Demo von DestKorn, entstanden im Juni 2024. Das Stück basiert auf der innigen Verbindung von Cello und Piano und trägt eine melancholische, fast intime Stimmung in sich. Es wurde nie veröffentlicht – nur hier, exklusiv auf SoundCloud, könnt ihr es hören.
Bitte verzeiht, wenn die Tonlage oder die Soundqualität nicht in jeder Nuance perfekt ist – dieses Demo ist ein direkter Einblick in meinen kreativen Prozess und spiegelt genau diesen rohen, unverfälschten Moment wider.

Die Instrumente wurden mit Libraries von EastWest und Spitfire Audio umgesetzt, um den besonderen Klangcharakter von Cello und Piano einzufangen.

Der Titel Cogito ergo sum bedeutet „Ich denke, also bin ich“. Er wurde gewählt, weil dieses Werk für mich mehr ist als nur ein Instrumental – es ist ein Gedanke, eine existenzielle Wahrheit, die in Musik verwandelt wurde. Jeder Ton ist Teil dieses Gedankens, ein stiller Dialog ohne Worte. Durch euer Zuhören wird dieser Gedanke lebendig und weitergetragen.

I see a meaning in the limitation to minimalist sounds. My work blends elements of post-punk synthwave, EBM, minimal techno and trance, merging the divided aspects of our being into a cohesive, transcendent experience.
