Expand Records strikes again with brand new single 'Saam' which is a luxury product of cooperation of new discover in Breaks scene producer In Progress and enigmatic project Runa. Original is backed with solid remix by Under This.
'Saam' is an amazingly refreshing atmospheric Progressive Breaks track, grown from the ethnic roots of Russian saami. It starts with sounds of Barents Sea and gentle subtle chords which hypnotize you since the very first seconds. After introduction section, which is full of tight beats, deep bassline and etheric arpeggios, there appears beautiful enigmatic vocals complemented by Trancey leads and pads. Long breakdown section immerses you into cold sea waters even deeper with stunning piano line, echoed vocals and string addition. Culmination of the track brings more vocals, leads and ragged drum line, keeping the flow interesting till the bitter end.

At the end of the 20th Century, two ambassadors for the great mastermind of the universe were sent back from the future to the 1980s.  These agents, K and QB were on a mission to promote and popularize good quality breaks music on a global scale. Their ultimate goal - to improve the human personality in the right direction, leading to new horizons of artistic potential.
At the turn of the 21st Century, Breakbeat music had become a very successful style which combined many trends and their musical elements, yet it still remained an independent genre.  At this time, the pair of agents reached the highlight of their great mission.
They explored different avenues, each starting extremely well and with their circle of followers growing day by day. In 2012, another activist of the breaks movement was invited by agent K to join them and he became agent MD. This trio established the basis for an enhanced way of promoting Breakbeat music...arriving on the scene with "Expand Records". The world of breaks is now celebrating the dawn of a new era!
With such a strong team, they are keen to cooperate with enthusiastic people who can bring new ideas and energy from all around the world of Breakbeat music under the roof of "Expand Records". "Hailing from the future EP" is the 10th release under Expand and is presented by two most successful Latvian producers Kondrashov & Quadrat Beat.
Kondrashov's "Chimerical" is a monster track for the even the most loaded dancefloors.  An incredible and extremely groovy tune with clear tech-funk rhythm, hard beats and tender bass surrounded by a chime acid melody to get you high.

Expand Records is the first Latvian breaks label and the unique creator of broken beats for the whole Baltic state territory at present. The main man, founder and head of Expand is the DJ/Producer Dmitry Kondrashov - front man of the band Under This. 
In 2012, two like-minded souls were invited by Dmitry to collaborate with him and later that year, Expand Records was launched. These collaborators were DJ/Producer Jevgeny Lobanovsky (better known as a Quadrat Beat) and DJ/Promoter Jevgeny Popov (aka Mr Djinn). 
Expand Records principle aim wasn't easy - their sounds must be remarkable, excellent quality and modern.  Shaking off the framework of a single style of music, they embrace solid groove and pumping rhythms - Expand Records now exists to widen your music taste and listening preferences. 
This breaks record label is very proud of the quantity and quality of tracks already released. Every new release from Expand can be found in the Top 20, some even in the Top 5 amongst breaks music charts worldwide. 
With every new release, the geography of artists within the record label widens.
