This is quite overdue as I've been busy in the studio, so here's the fourth installment of the You Should Be Here series. Barcelona is easily one of my favourite cities. It's a beautiful place that's really two cities – Barcelona by day, and Barcelona at night. It's a very sexy and laid back city but has a pulsing nightlife and passion for life and house music. Few artists today are more responsible for the recent resurgence of lo-fi house as a genre in dance music than Harrison Webber, better known as Harrison BDP. His instant classics such as “Decompression” and “It’s Foggy Outside,” along with the work of others, have helped lay down the foundation for a sound that’s low on frills but high on emotion through its superb utilization of classic techniques and poignant vocal sampling. It’s a formula that has shown itself to be well-appreciated by house-heads alike, earning his songs millions of plays on youtube channels around the globe in a relatively short amount of time.

In his latest release titled “Confusion Of Sound,” Mr. BDP fully attempts to explore the outer reaches of this genre by constructing an EP that contains two extremes. The A-side of the record lands on the soothing end of the spectrum, designed with the intent of relaxing the listener into a stable trance that’s marked by lush synth melodies and playful percussion. On the other hand, the B-side seems to be more tuned for the dancefloor, taking listeners on a cosmic journey of euphoric acid-house.

His song “The Flow” happens to fall on the A-side, and fans of Harrison BDP will instantly recognize it as the work of the Cardiff producer. From the length of the song (coming in at about 10 minutes) to the expertly selected quotes used to complement the track’s celestial feel, this tune embodies everything we’ve come to know Harrison BDP as at this early point in his young career. “The Flow” will surely fit right in with his already star-studded discography and help the producer win the ears of more music lovers in 2018.

The second instalment in a series of three by Dutch producer Frits Wentink, 'Two Bar House Music & Chord Stuff' is due for release in early February. Wentink has been one of The Netherlands' most steady artists since his first release in 2012. As the head honcho of both Will & Ink and Bobby Donny, he is known for pushing quality house music, and this is no exception.

Ah, Brooklyn, the city that has it all – from the gritty to the glorious, it’s a city that’s always changing and has stayed the same. It’s raw, it’s hype, it’s traditional, it’s fresh. I love this place. It’s a great break from the congestion of Manhattan but still has that New York attitude…well, from the OG residents, that is. By day you’ve got Prospect Park with its farmer’s markets and beautifully groomed nature, Coney Island handball courts, and plenty of shops, restaurants and pickup ball games. By night the main streets hum with the sounds of drunken youth, overflowing bars, friend’s laughter, rooftop parties, and great underground club nights.

TRANCE is a five-act visual album made in collaboration with Portland based house producer Akasha System that explores the story of a deaf dancer. After a debilitating accident that causes her to lose her hearing, she is challenged with re-learning to dance with a whole new perception. The question remains, how do you tell a story without words?

TRANCE will be providing the vibes bi-weekly by our talented friends around North America with our Feel It All Around mixtape series.
