This is an experiment I played with the "Little Karp" created by Meng Qi. It is based on the karplus strong algorithm and has easter eggs built into it: whenever you hit two keys at the exact same time noise is played until you hit the next key. What you hear is a recording created with three tracks, playing the same theme three times while noise is being activated at different times. The three takes are panned left, center and right. Enjoy :)

I made this recording in my cousins pigsty in Poland. You can hear excited little and big pigs being fed. And you can hear them munch right by your ear. In the background you can hear hungry calves and in the very background our dog Milù is barking because she thought it was unsafe for us to go inside the pigsty. :-)

I got a hold of a hydrophone recording of singing humpback whales and found it so beautiful that I had to compose something that sings along with the whales. I aimed at matching the instrumentation and the melody to the feeling that the whales and the images that came along with them conveyed to me. I'm feeling ocean, sailboat, wind, soft movements, gentleness, weightlessness... How does it make you feel? Let me know in the comments.
