‘What Do You Do?’ marks a move away from the piecemeal approach that places Symrun’s first album, 'Care Work', within the sonic camp of introspective lo-fi explorations. This time, Symrun takes a deep-dive into a carefully crafted sound, drawing inspiration from fellow TT contributors Organ Tapes and Dom Sinini whilst maintaining his own sense of musical identity firmly rooted in a nostalgic sound that fuses a love for rap, ‘trashy pop’ and rock. Combined with his self-motivating lyricism, Symrun is able to tackle the double entendre that hides beneath the meaning of the album’s title, What Do You Do? A burnt out youth questioning what the future holds, whilst simultaneously tired out by the question often posed to us by others, What Do You Do?

This week we invite members of Philadelphia-based collective Odd Domain to join the none/such family. Four rapid and expertly curated sets ranging from hyper-pop to speedy techno promise to give our transatlantic community a taste of what the east coast has to offer.

For years, keenanfromlimbo (@keenanfromlimbo) has been a known figure in the Philadelphia DIY scene - organizing a number of underground events and providing opportunities artists and DJs to perform. This time, we get a taste of his released and unreleased catalogues, showing off a diverse array of sounds, textures, and rhythms.⁣

JEWELSSEA (@jewelssea) is an electronic musician and DJ based in Philadelphia. Soulful, sometimes spacey melodies and groovy drum breaks drive their sound. Styles include house, techno, UKG, jungle, Baltimore and Jersey club, r&b, and trap blends (at times, all in one set).⁣

Desamores (@aeron-colmenar) is Philadelphia based DJ mainly spinning techno/DnB—this set promises serious rhythms and wicked grooves.⁣

Ky must die (@user-480626961) gives us a tracklist for those who desire constantly and need to feel sensual at all times (or else...) ♡⁣

Hi everyone! We're back after a few months' hiatus to host a mix in our GUESTMIXES series, reaching today its 91st entry. Today, we're glad to share a 32-minute contribution courtesy of UFPT (he/him), a Pistoia-based DJ, computer musician, scene shaker, and first-time writer. Graduated in Electronic Music at the Cherubini Conservatory in Florence, UFPT is an eclectic talent who has been involved with an endless, shape-shifting search that over the years brought him to meddle with many dancefloor-oriented genres as well as more introspective musical investigations. This time, UFPT brought us a worldwide selection of hip hop and trap, contemporary club bangers, and bass heaviness. Enjoy!
