2019 closes with a selection of 14 Exploited tracks that went down like a storm. 
There is Dutch youngster Budakid who impressed with 3 releases for Exploited this year in the form of Adieu X, No Strings Attached and The End, label longstay Joyce Muniz who teamed up with Little Boots on Strange Girl in the remix treatment by Black Loops, Swedish newcomers NEAT who stand out with a sound all of its own that you’d be hard pressed to pin down, disco and house newbies T.U.R.F., old friend The Mekanism with a gentle summer jam, James Curd with 2 outstanding dancefloor bombs in the remix by Sandboards (Feel My Bicep) and Bas Roos, producer legend Arthur Baker and not to forget Enduro Disco with three tracks that vibrantly manifest his modern disco desires.
All in all this is a great eclectic dreamy dance compilation by one of the leading deephouse labels out there.

Florian Kruse & Hendrik Burkhard present TheGround Dediction 

Those with a keen ear for the ebbs and  ows of the underground scene will be well aware of the the emergence of Florian Kruse’s (@floriankruse) and Hendrik Burkhard’s (@hendrik-burkhard) TheGround project (@the_ground_official). Kruse is of course well known for his extensive career in underground house music in the German capital, but connecting with Burkhard in 2015 took him to a different level. The guys got together in 2016 to create this body of work, building on their shared chemistry and artistic compatibility. The result is 'Dediction' - an album that showcases exactly what is getting people so excited about this project.

Kicking off with the emotive and epic intro 'Sirens Call', the album soon clicks into gear with lead single 'Homeless Hearts'. The track exemplifies the duo’s effect on each other - the slick, nuanced and spacy production gives way to a powerful groove, providing the perfect backing for Burkhard’s dreamy vocal. 'Undercover' keeps things rolling, thick with minor chord synths flourishes and punchy drums. Two of last year’s standout tracks - 'Crack in the Wall' (feat. Mi.li.an) and 'Going Against The Grain' are included here with radically new versions - both moving and atmospheric pieces that defines the album’s sense of beautiful melancholia. Co-written by Raphael Hofman 'Silence' occupies a similar space while 'Through The Darkness' feat. Saccao (@saccaodj) comes with a more direct approach - a powerful tech-house workout featuring incredible synth programming and moments of pure euphoria. 'Creature' also brings the heat with a thick growling bass and precise, arpeggiated synth lines that cut through the mix like lasers. Rounding out the album is 'Falling' (also featuring the vocal prowess of Mi.li.an) - yet another moment that finds a balance between the pure release of the dancefloor and the dreamy, woozy feel Kruse and Burkhard seem to tap into with every release.
Fittingly, the last word is given to another sublime collaboration - Kingdom Of Crumbling Walls features Vincenzo (@vincenzo_official) & Mi.li.an alongside Kruse and Burkhard, elegantly showcasing the power of their emotional, melodic songwriting.

Welcoming Imran Khan to the Proton Music roster, his "Organik" debut is set to make a sizeable splash with remixes from UK and Irish legends. 
"Organik" is thus a beautiful piece that is the perfect antidote to life's stresses on a warm summer's evening. An artist who has been a central pillar in dance music's underground house, Barry Jamieson is an iconic and legendary name with over two decades high-profile experience. Having worked with Sasha on his ground-breaking "Involver" and Involv2er", Jamieson's solo career has found a similarly elevated level of success. With his music wedded to the acclaimed microCastle, Quivver's Boz Boz and his own Circular Sounds Recordings, Jamieson's Mono Electric Orchestra pseudonym has seen him feature on John Digweed's Bedrock and Nick Warren's Hope Recordings with stunning results. Remixing Kastis Torrau and Donatello's "Ida", under his own name, Jamieson now returns as Mono Electric Orchestra to rework "Organik". Creating a sonic landscape of unparalleled quality, heavily effected reverse reverb hints at Khan's motifs as orchestral passages sing across the mid-range. Hitting its stride, a huge glissando bassline punches through the low-end in stripped back glory against a ticking percussive cadence, before the melodic structures build once more with a plucked riff and rousing string passages that are straight out of the Sasha production playbook. The result is a remix that is at the very pinnacle of underground dance and a timeless classic. Known simply to Proton Music faithful as Silinder, Gavin Mulhall has witnessed a long and distinguished history with the label. Aptly describing his music as "deep, dark and hypnotic with a melodic theme", the Irish artist has led a jewel-encrusted career with support from Sasha, Digweed and Zabiela to name but a few. 400 production credits sit proudly next to the Silinder name and his work has consistently found its way onto an array of blue-chip labels that include Sudbeat, Perspectives Digital and Jackpot Records. Over 30 of those credits can be found on Proton Music evidenced by the "Corrupt", "Solas" and "Basement" EPs alongside a varied selection of remixes. Now returning after February's remix of Embliss, the Silinder interpretation epitomises his trademark sound. A deep rolling groove combines with mesmerising bassline, driving beat and metallic percussion to create the perfect foundation for an immaculately placed collection of cleverly entwined melodies to meander across the near 8-minute piece. Last year they've already appeared on Manual Music with the release of their song 'A Memory' on the 'Explorations' various artists album, but now it's time to shine the full spotlight on them with their solo double A-sider 'Viscera' / 'Sigil'. Two peak time melodic proggy pieces of dancefloor candy that will surely appeal to many.

Argentinian producer Emi Galvan returns on Manual Music and has reworked 'Sigil' into an incredibly infectious peak time progressive house burner. This one has got 'hit record' written all over it with it's relentless drive and big portion of funk. Bombs away!
