Ibiza Sonica abre la esclusa con una relectura que no juega a los trucos: Danny In Space convierte “The Road Back” en un viaje de presión constante, bajo cálido y melodías que respiran a plazos, perfecto para set nocturno sin atajos. El original —pieza ambient/electronica con narrativa de “Hero’s Journey”— se pliega aquí hacia un pulso deep, melódico y tech–driven, de esos que se sienten en la caja torácica antes de entenderse en la cabeza.

Lo interesante es el carácter del remixer: tras años como DNYO, el alias Danny In Space llega desde São Paulo con un diseño sonoro quirúrgico y sensibilidad de pista. Su versión prioriza tensión y tracción: percusivas muy ceñidas, un bajo elástico que no pierde el centro, pads luminosos que entran y salen con intención, y un breakdown sin grandilocuencia que prepara un drop funcional, sólido, sin abandonar la emoción. Es remixer con biografía —del reconocimiento internacional a la ingeniería de estudio— y aquí firma un corte de largo aliento, pensado para dejar huella en cabina.

La etiqueta NOFF! —casa de Nick Stoynoff en Chicago y laboratorio de exploración— refuerza con esta entrega su línea curatorial: tres identidades distintas orbitando la misma idea, pero este remix de Danny In Space es el que se queda pegado a la memoria por su economía de recursos y su claridad narrativa. Minimal en palabras, maximal en intención.

Fresh from their huge remix of Florian Kruse &amp; Hendrik Burkhard on Noir Music, Pleasurekraft steam into 2016 with a huge two-track debut on Nicole Moudaber&#8217;s MOOD. 
With MOOD releases featuring heavily in the US/Swedish duo&#8217;s sets and Pleasurekraft bombs ignited by Nicole most weekends, it was only a matter of time before a release of this magnitude hit us&#8230; And it&#8217;s a match made in rolling techno heaven. 
&#8216;Defiler&#8217; is wonderfully wrong from the off; even the title suggests the sleaziest, slinkiest, sweatiest late night sessions. By the time the vocal sample murmurs its intent over a slippery, spacious, star-gazing bassline, we&#8217;re locked. Cue tight textures of percussion - rollers and shakers a go-go - it&#8217;s a heads down hypnosis session until sun-up with all the right dynamic elements to keep us twisting. 
&#8216;There Is No Safe Word&#8217; takes us deeper into Pleasurekraft&#8217;s devilish playground. A thunderous, unrelenting drum arrangement takes the lead here with demonic down-pitched vocal textures and vortex shredding swoops and FX adding colour, character and suspense before a precision build-up proceeds to tear a new hole in the spacetime continuum. Safe words? Where we&#8217;re going we don&#8217;t need safe words&#8230; 
Just weeks into 2016 and already MOOD and Pleasurekraft have delivered something to the last the whole year through. Sleeping on this is impossible.

Outcast Oddity is back with a new release. This time Outcast Oddity welcomes two new producers to the label. Foreign Guest and Wewerka. Both sharing a studio space at Blackheadstudios in Berlin. For their latest outcome they combined forces and delivered their debut release ‘Human Sequencer’. ‘Model 1882’ is the second track followed by a remix from Nuno Dos Santos who delivered a hypnotic techno interpretation of ‘Human Sequencer’. Christian Nielsen is back on Sincopat this time for his first solo EP on the label. The Danish artist is a relentless person: office worker by day and music hero by night, he has definitely found his path in electronic music.
Talking about music, 'Access' opens the EP with one clear aim: make you dance. It counts with an amazing and epic breakdown to be enjoyed entirely. On remix duties, AFFKT takes the track to his painting easel adding more melodic notes to the landscape with his unique and personal style, Sincopat's big kahuna proves once again his talent with this powerful and organic remix. On 'Stroke it', Christian uses the minimum items to get the best result, you won't need anything else to find this track awesome: it is sinister, hypnotic and really effective. Last but not least 'Back Seat' is the perfect closure for the release, adding an even more timeless flavor to the whole pack. Enjoy!

Danish talent Christian Nielsen's varied sounds fit into the boxes of a wide range of house and techno DJs, and his latest EP for Exploited treads a similarly eclectic path of bad-assness after a recent outing with KOMPAKT. 

'Still The Same' takes its cues from brooding '80s electro pop, fusing it to a deep tech backbone that makes for a perfect compliment. Moody on-beat bass sets the pulse as haunted vocal snippets and gliding synths swoop in sorrowfully. The shuffling, stripped-back pumps into life as delicate arpeggios hypnotise you into submission. Atmospheric swells threaten to envelop the track but are instead restrained in teasing fashion. A nagging rhythmic note adds more urgency, and more flurries of gorgeous synth arpeggiation and wiggling melodics keep the track colourful and invigorating throughout.  

'Now You're Free' centres on a more organic groove, with a shuffling jazzy drumset setting the tone. The vibe is still deep and contemplative, with the ghosts of '90s house vocals and muted jazz trumpet and cymbal rides contrasting against warm pads. Gentle tech percussion bolsters these organic elements and hazy FX make things a little trippy in all the right places. 

'My Love' makes for a perfect finale for this diverse 3-tracker, with head-nodding shakers and woodblocks creating a tribal flavour under acidic bleeps and hovering bass weight. Pitched down, stuttered vocals, swirling low-slung synths and shimmering synths create a cool, collected feel that makes this a lovely little set builder of a track.
