Deep House

Betoko began working on "I’m a Gin" 18 months ago in the renown Red Bus Recording Studios where George Michael, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Tina Turner, Jocelyn Brown and Imagination themselves have all recorded and where Betoko produces his work today. 
 
Betoko's idea behind "Im a Gin" was to revive the original retro-funky Imagination vibe.  "Im a Gin" contains elements of the authentic track using those same stems from the original; and produced by Betoko in the same studio where Imagination originally produced all of their tracks, they and Betoko used the same compressors, keyboards and console creating the highest sonic quality sound.

About the EP:
Easy and nice driving laid-back Deephouse with lots of harmony. Marco, who is known for his "Stand by me" Bootleg on Celestial Recording comes with 2 drifty songs you can go lost in. Inspired by music like Mira's sets (Bar25, Katermukke) he is definitely right with his music on Partina.
First Remix came from 'Sascha Kloeber' who got a lot of attention with his last Weltenwandler Remix - known from TV and DJ Sets. "High Above"! Sascha recorded some empathetic own vocals again to share big moments on the dancefloor with some goose bumps!
The other Remix from the second song came from Essen/Cologne located 'Janca'. Known from releases on Subspiele he presents lovely sounds on easy beats.

Compuphonic aka Maxim Firket is a multifaceted producer and DJ from Liège, Belgium, who was raised on a well-balanced diet of classical music, early electronics and industrial variants from Kraftwerk to Front 242, and the revolutionary soundwave that swept over from Detroit, Michigan. Hence, Maxim did not only grow up to become a skillful violoncellist, but also a producer with a unique approach, blending his various sources of inspiration into one intelligent mix of old-school electro, house and minimal stylings. So far he has released on imprints such as Dirty Dancing, Tiga’s Turbo, Get Physical and Exploited.
