Hailing from Liege in Belgium, David Body has been put on our radar with releases on the fine Endless Music — but this EP for Exploited’s Black Jukebox series looks set to propel him to a new level. 

‘I Bird You’ is a seriously charming affair, led by a colourful, sugary-sweet refrain that twinkles and sparkles in cute fashion. A warm deep house groove crafted through swirling Rhodes chords builds the vibe before the flowery melody explodes into life, pushing the track into an altogether more magical direction.

‘Jack Me Baby’ channels rubbery bass and a galloping house beat, with minor piano chords creating a dramatic feel as a classic vocal sample whoops away in delight. The enormous snare-rolled propelled build-up thrusts the track into overdrive, with a delightful, balmy synth line woven in to provide a mystical counterbalance. 

‘The Talking Mouettes’ is a supremely feel-good slab of Balearic-tinged house, with choice piano chords cut up and cascading over a high-energy groove. Big squelchy melodic bass wiggles under the chords and shoulder-popping chime riff, with plenty of power and punch scattered throughout to keep the vibes rolling.

‘Endless Love’ is an absolute monster to close the EP, a soaring, triumphant electro beauty that overflows with euphoric melody and ecstatic, eyes-closed-and-rolling tingles. It just keeps building and building through layer upon layer of synth mastery to an explosive, epic climax.

La referencia 75 de Golden Soul Records viene cargada de mucha emoción y energía , unen fuerzas nuestro compañero de equipo  Aleito junto con Luis Ribalta ,gran artista con una proyección excelente y muy conocido en la escena Techno española por colaborar en labels como Paradigma de Marc Marzenit entre otros , seguro que este ep no va a pasar desapercibido de ninguna de las maneras.

Os presentamos un ep con matices techno pero con alma de electronica ,pads potentes , melodias hipnóticas y arpegios energéticos que harán que no puedas salir de este bucle mental tan conseguido y fraguado por estos dos maravillosos artistas ,el cual no habría sido posible sin la colaboración de la artista “Air Un” ,teclista reconocida y que trabaja en la Banda musical que tiene junto a Luis Ribalta donde es un concepto mas visual y atmosférico el que ponen en escena , las voces las aporta el vocalista “Mr Torres” dandole un carácter oscuro a la pista para acompañar las potentes secuencias y melodías que se  desarrollan en esta canción.


Ambos temas están compuestos por los dos artistas que a lo largo de este ultimo año han estado en contacto en pequeñas sesiones de trabajo para finalmente presentarnos este gran ep llamado “OUR UNIVERSE “ y que nos encanta personalmente.

The reference 75 of Golden Soul Records comes loaded with a lot of emotion and energy, our teammate Aleito joins forces with Luis Ribalta, great artist with an excellent projection and well known in the Spanish Techno scene for collaborating on labels such as Paradigma by Marc Marzenit among others, sure that this ep will not go unnoticed in any way.

We present an ep with techno nuances but with a soul of electronica, powerful pads, hypnotic melodies and energetic arpeggios that will make you can not get out of this mental loop so successful and forged by these two wonderful artists, which would not have been possible without the collaboration of the artist "Air Un". The voices are provided by the vocalist "Mr Torres" giving a dark character to the track to accompany the powerful sequences and melodies that are developed in this song.


Both tracks are composed by the two artists who throughout this last year have been in contact in small work sessions to finally present us with this great ep called "OUR UNIVERSE" and that we personally love.

Two tracks with different visions but conceived together by these two great composers in which each one brings his vision of how electronica should behave on a dancefloor.

DGTL Records marks its fifth anniversary in style with brand new album ‘5YRS of DGTL Records’. The 14-track long player is released on April 16th as a 4x 12” vinyl set and drops digitally across 4 separate EP releases between February 18 and April 1, of which the fourth and final one features Trikk & Frank Wiedemann, Terr & Daniel Watts, Kino Todo & Danelz and Lucky Done gone.

5YRS of DGTL Records is a perfect reflection of not just of the label itself but also its global event patron: headliners sitting equally alongside local talent and up-and-coming acts. Over the past five years, DGTL Records has grown into its own as a fully-fledged musical arm of the overall DGTL musical experience.

Frank Wiedemann & Trikk join forces for their first ever collab, called ‘Ponto’, a perfect blend of their production styles. Thumping drums and a heavy bassline set a dark mood, balanced out with plucky synths and playful sounds. 
Terr and Daniel Watts follow suit with their track, ‘The Fall’. With an eerie vibe and progressive kicks, the track draws you in immediately. Glitchy sounds are sprayed throughout its layers, as Johann Heyss’ vocals come delayed adding to the mysticism of their track.
‘Monkey Neighbour’, produced by Kino Todo and Danelz, switches things around with an upbeat breakbeat drum pattern that evolves into disgustingly heavy kicks. A powerful track with wobbly acid synths rolled throughout its entirety, and monkey voices sprinkled between its layers. 
Lucky Done Gone provides a soothing finale to our compilation with ‘Signs of Wealth’. Driving percussion, lively synths and groovy bass lines cross each other's path in this track to produce a soundscape full of suspense and bliss.

A generous DJ/party-friendly 6-pack from Biesmans’ brilliant, intense contribution to Watergate’s revered mix LP series, selecting from the 17-track LP collaborations with Shubostar, Zombies in Miami, Alex Medina, and Vandesande, plus two solo from the Belgian Indie dance maestro, who binned booze for the challenging 3 month studio window.
 
‘Across the Universe’ opens the EP, a wavy ‘80s inspired collab with South Korean artist Shubostar, after they bonded recently in Tulum over a shared love of cosmic synths. 
 
‘Smooth Monday’, with Permanent Vacation-backed Zombies in Miami, is a synth symphony of twanging nu-disco and bass arps with a melodic dreamy top layer.
 
‘All Day Every Day’ is Biesmans’ slice of breakbeat euphoria with a reverb-rich bass riff. 
‘Hola y Bienvenido’ with Alex Medina is a fast, hi-energy piece with an 80s drumbeat.
‘March for Peace’ is a laid-back but danceable multi-layered upbeat synth fest.

LA based producer and DJ Choopsie announces her new ‘Remembering EP’ on Silver Bear Recordings. Set for release on the 21st September with lead singles Remembering and Magnify dropping over the summer.

After falling in love with electronic music whilst interning at Outlook and Dimensions festival, Alex Adkins AKA Choopsie has been building an impressive discography of releases, inspired by the likes of Elkka and Logic1000. With previous outings on Fantastic Voyage and RVDIOVCTIVE, Choopsie’s ‘Remembering EP’ dives deeper into her introspective style, showcasing her ability to intricately weave together captivating chord progressions, vocal samples and synth lines. Since her debut EP release in 2020 she’s been on a roll, playing at the legendary Dirtybird campout, releasing 3 further EP’s and playing shows in LA, Denver, NYC and Paris, with additional sets in Europe this summer.

Lead single ‘Remembering’ kicks off the EP with dreamy pads crescendoing into a flurry of garage influenced drums and delicately chopped up vocal samples. Magnify is an immersive listen, showcasing Choopsie’s ability to create lush, blissful lead lines on a backdrop of deep groove ridden beats. Rune is a nostalgic infused track, featuring swirling pads and punchy breaksy drums, producing euphoric and atmospheric moments and Echoes closes the EP in style with rich textures created using bouncy synths and sultry arps.

Choopsie says “I made this EP last winter while visiting home in Virginia and traveling around the east coast. Inspired to break out of my usual routine for making music, I challenged myself to make songs that were very different from my previous releases. I was really missing the music scene in LA and wanted to make something that I could play live when I returned, but that would also be suitable to listen at home'

Let's go on a trip through the Bizzarro Universe.
The Hamburg-based producer couple Bizzarro Universe is back on Verflixt Music for their third release. "Speed of Light" is a perfect rollin’ space track. The Bizzarros prove their sense for the dancefloor with a track for the peak time. Keeping the Italo vibes, they delight an uncompromising piece. The female robotic voice in the breaks lets no clue, that you're on a flight through space & time, and the drop comes in like your spaceship hits Speed of Light: Powerful and with a Big Bang.
Remix action comes from Louis de Tomaso (Ritmo Fatale) and David Body (Melopee Records, Exploited). Louis gives us a more trancy vision, with slightly 90s influences and those synth melodies he likes. David delivers a more Italo House version with a softer piano synth, perfect for the late summer!

Born in 1986, lulled by the 80s tones, David Body began his little DJ career with italo disco influences in 2007.
He then surfed the wave of nu-disco with projects like Pleasure Machines and La Disco Mafia before starting a solo carrier in 2014.
Resident DJ of the big club Le Cadran in Liege, he has the chance to share the desk with the biggest names : Miss Kittin, Booka Shade, Etienne de Crecy, Mr Oizo, Jennifer Cardini, Yuksek, The Magician, Charlotte de White...
His ears are now ready to compose their own sounds, always with these very synthesized 80s italo vibes.
Very influenced by artists such as Tensnake, Ten Ven or The Swiss, he launched his discography in 2020 with the Belgian label Kadett Musik.
Other releases followed on Endless Music, Ripe Pear Records, Mélopée Records, Full Flight Records, Discoscuro Factory Records...
And he does not intend to stop there ...
