Shir Khan's in one of his quick-fire purple patches at the moment. The dust's only just settled on "Black Jukebox 12" and here we are with number 13 - another jam-packed slab of wax for your all-day summer terrace party. Onsra takes care of the A-side, unloading smooth conga-led grooves through "Funky Town" while snappy vocal hooks and scrumptious piano licks play call and response. "Burning Up" sees more insatiable disco loops filtered and twisted until they're ready to tickle the Funktion1's (or your Void Air Motion for the more discerning). Kiko Navarro gets to grips with the B-side, "Good Intention" beginning with a frenzied hi-pass loop attack before dropping into some hard disco. Finally, the affectionately named "Chordus Rolandus" sees Navarro jot sensual, dreamy chord sequences over a bouncy b-line and urgent drops. Recalling the halcyon days of proper deep house, luminescent and full of joy.

N-You-Up and Boogie Vice join forces with vocalist Joshua Morris for a sun-soaked house groover, 'All By Design'.

Built around a slap-style bassline, tight percussion, and a rolling acoustic groove, 'All By Design' showcases the creative chemistry between Boogie Vice and N-You-Up, who have regularly collaborated on labels like Get Physical, Rekids, and Definitive Recordings. The track unfolds with evolving vocal phrases from South African artist Joshua Morris, adding both charm and depth. As the groove progresses, warm piano chords and a more melodic vocal section lift the energy into new territory while keeping the dancefloor in focus.

Boogie Vice, the French producer now based in Cape Town, has carved out a niche with his fusion of funk, soul, and house. With a catalog stretching across respected labels and a growing presence in film scoring and artist development, his sound is both refined and rooted in rhythm.

Southern France’s N-You-Up brings a jazz-and-disco-infused house touch to the project, backed by his years behind the decks and a track record that includes standout releases on Nervous Records and Get Physical. His productions continue to win support from tastemakers like Solomun, Dennis Ferrer, and Jamie Jones.

Adding the final piece is Joshua Morris, a Cape Town-based vocalist and producer known for blending psych-pop influences with rich, layered vocals. His distinctive tone and songwriting instincts shine on 'All By Design', making the track feel as immediate as it is lasting.

The result is a vibrant, feel-good single that channels the chemistry of seasoned collaborators with a fresh vocal twist: Tailor-made for dancefloors and sunsets alike.
