Downtempo rhythmics and silky grooves coming from the Los Angeles-based Warehouse Preservation Society duo. We've been keeping a watchful eye on these two ever since their "Multitude Of Sin" landed on Machine Limited a couple years ago. Since then they've had some pretty spectacular outings, the latest of which being a 3-track EP for Futureboogie Recordings. With an eye on the release we asked the duo to deliver a mix and they've responded in style.

Que Sakamoto is a DJ and producer who has become Japan’s latest export to the world. From his deep roots in the Tokyo underground, he finds himself outside Japan most of the year on his relentless tours of Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas.

Didgeridoo trance, videogame vibes, vicious jungle, and proper dirty boner electronica await LAYEREd in his two-hour selection for WPD. 

From Que’s first international booking in 2014 by 65MQ in Milan, Italy arose a series of invitations around Europe. Neil Diablo invited him to the U.K. where he played with Craig Richards, Fabric resident, and Dave Harvey, Future Boogie. Then an invitation from Harry James, Snap Crackle & Pop (SC&P), to play the Waiting Room with Brézier, Ivan Smagghe and Rupert Cross. From the U.K. invitations led to Belgium, France, Turkey, Lithuania and a tour-of-sorts across Europe was born.

Lithuania plays a pivotal role in Que Sakamoto’s DJ career. Especially his connection to Club Opium and Manfredas who hammered in a wooden signpost with Que Sakamoto’s name on it in 2020, two years after his mythical set at the Ant Bangos festival in 2018 at the Port of Nida, which sky-rocketed his career as an emerging artist. At this festival he met Joakim who introduced him to New York City where he played many gigs like the Good Room and also did a radio show for Tim Sweeney on Beats In Space.

For this bi-monthly show, they have invited duo @clubtularosa .We will start with a 1 hour mix with Club Tularosa, followed by another hour with WPS and will finish with a special interview with Club Tularosa member, Ray. 

A shared love of all things Italo, post-punk and new wave brought @raybarragan & @tresdubois together. The LA-based duo, who operate under the guise of Club Tularosa, cut their teeth on the club scene in their home city, putting on parties and bringing over artists from abroad. Here they honed their skills on the warm-up and carved out their own sound; an exploration of the cosmic and psychedelic corners of dance music.

Lithuanian and Vilnius-based Midnattssoula is a label owner, DJ, radio host and party entertainer. He runs his own project Where Were We? for 4 years now and the show will be hosting its 117th guest this week.

The WWW label has released it's sixth release just now and it's the remix pack for Azole's "Mr. Sutherland" EP. It features four strong remixes from Romain Fx, Endrik Schroeder, Ivan Fabra and Black Feeling.

Tech Support is London-based producer Ned Dickinson, who has released music on labels including Futureboogie, Nocturne and Dansu Discs. He also operates under the guise of Asa Tate. He never confines himself to one sound or style but there’s a distinct nod to the 80s in his influences and output; be assured you’ll find lashings of Italo, vintage darkwave, euphoric house and slo mo chug when he’s behind the decks or laying it down in the studio.
 
His work rate as a producer has been on the up over the last few years. If he’s not sharing his solo work, which has formed releases for Nocturne, Together Alone, Futureboogie, Silver Bear and, most recently Ano Ano, he’s crafting his own self-released edits and reworks of legendary new beat, new wave and Italo Disco tracks like ‘Burning Down The House’, ‘Je Suis Passee’ and ‘Drop The Deal’. Lately he’s been making music under another alias, Asa Tate, with a track penned for this year’s Rhythm Section SHOUTS compilation.
