'Mistral' was originally released on the '10 yrs of Systematic' compilation on CD only, but after a massive public demand it was clear that it must be released on vinyl and backed by new remixes.

Who else could we chose but the labels most popular artists, label head Marc Romboy and Stephan Bodzin. Reworking the original in their own unique way, both deliver epic, energetic and symphonic versions!!!

Premiere: Rebolledo - Discótico Pléxico (Maceo Plex Remix)

Phil Kieran revists material from his latest album titled ‘Blinded By The Sun’ by releasing a collection of remixes, including the emotive and rhythmic interpretation of ‘Solar Storm’ by Mano Le Tough.
 
Tapping Mano Le Tough for a remix was an obvious choice for Kieran, as he chose artists who personally influenced him to transform the album’s material, plus he’s a fellow compatriot of Ireland. Kieran states, “I made a wish list of who I wanted and to my surprise it all seemed to come together very quickly”.
 
The resulting remix of ‘Solar Storm’ is a steadily building sonic display of emotive textures, the type of material fans of Mano Le Tough have grown accustomed to over the years. Various percussive rhythms build up as tones lead into a synth crescendo met with a deep and raspy vocal. That, paired with the driving bass drum, makes for a hypnotic club track.
 
Also found on 'Blinded By The Sun' (Remixes #2), which is set for release via Hot Creatiions on June 23, are remixes by Matthew Herbert and David Holmes.

Berlin act GHEIST have made a huge impression since releasing their debut record on Exploited in 2016. Now with regular appearances at Watergate and various summer festival gigs under their belts, three releases on Exploited and a couple with Sasha’s Last Night On Earth as well as a collaboration with HOSH ('The Watergate Affairs'), they are poised as one of the most promising acts of the current wave. This mesmerising new three-track EP only serves to strengthen their claim. 

'Axelot' begins by way of thuddy kicks knocking against the slightest of bleeps and gently techy percussion, with a slow-rising, muffled synth arpeggio teasing its way into life as the claps join in. Over the course of nine hypnotic minutes, we ebb and flow with the tracks subtle intricacies, a dramatic mood gently building. A mind-bending arp blurs the focus in the breakdown before we charge headlong back into the throbbing depths of the track.

'Kolibri' builds in similarly unhurried fashion, with bolder melodic focus that yields graceful strings, emotive chord patterns and some sublime delayed plucked refrains that take the essence of trancey emotion and boil it down to a sophisticated reduction. Just as the swells threaten to take the track into a frenzied crescendo, things are pulled back to keep the tension intact. Classy stuff. 

'Time' completes this sublime package by way of swirling chimes, throbbing monotone bass and analog bleeps, building up a heady wall of sound before a trademark GHEIST vocal lifts the track into unchartered territory. The sombre tone recalls Depeche Mode, and the idea to use the vocal in the breakdown alone only gives it more impact. It’s also a reminder that this trio bring an element of live electronica and instrumentation to their studio sessions.

After Ed Davenport’s 'Festnetz EP' we're happy to welcome the next electronic music virtuoso on the label: Luca Ballerini. We're in contact with Luca since a while, even before we launched Siamese to discuss a possible record with him. Now almost two years later we're excited to finally reveal the full EP!

As all of Luca’s Records there is a distinctive balance between dancefloor and a hypnotic almost dreamy approach to electronic music. 

Opening up is 'Preludio (Origine)', leading into the record with lush electronica sounds. This one has been the last missing piece for us to finalize this record yet it comes first.

Next up is 'Amore & Psiche - Parte II'. As you can imagine we were big fans of the first part released on Innervisions back in 2015. We are playing this track for over a year now and we still don’t get bored of it. The energy its creates is mind blowing. 

Luca’s quote for the title track of the EP ‚Magnolia' is: 'Riposa nel raggio lunare, la bellezza del fiore‘ - „The beauty of the flower rests in the moon light“, less poetic in English but you get the idea. Melancholic, hypnotic and trippy at the same time, just a beauty of a track. 

‚Continuo' concludes the record in a powerful way yet leaves you guessing what might comes next as the title might say.

Luca Ballerini – A2 Amore & Psiche – Parte II

Above Your Head is elegant deep house with gentle chords washing over the grooves and vocals from Defected artist and London singer-songwriter Jinadu that send shivers down your spine. The whole thing is soft, lush and comforting, and will bring real moments of tenderness to any DJ set. Regular label associates Kollektiv Turmstrasse are masters of melodic house who have proved
their worth on Diynamic, Connaisseur and numerous other imprints. Their remix of ‘Above Your Head’ sends the vocals through some moody filters, layers in a little grit in the percussion and gets you in a trance with its rolling drums. They also turn in a more upright dub that allows the music to
shine.
