Express Yourself EP [Exploited Ghetto]

Bonnie Spacey's sound is one characterised by unique contrasts and combinations with a root interest in organic instrumentation and a keen interest in the deeper shades of Disco, Techno and Electroclash being melded effectively in her productions and DJ sets.

Now - the french born and Berlin based maven encapsulates her knack for cogent contrasts across a heated 2-track EP for Exploited Club that weaves between Samba, Disco, Italo and House.

'Samba Disco' stamps a dominant foot on the floor as ripe, sturdy drums provide a stout foundation for pitch shifting delays and a searing hot synth climb. The vibe is arresting and highly spiced as the track continues to charter ever-elevating altitude in a manner that makes it easy to picture decadent dancefloor chaos.

'Light Shadow' follows up with a no-nonsense House groove that glows lucent with richly layered keys and an effortlessly sexy vocal. As is the case with the track's counterpart, the sounds are thick and palpable and the mood is intoxicating.

Chords burst with colour while pitch bending soars and energy courses towards a head-twisting breakdown that sends out more voltage to the floor and marks the closing chapter of an electrifying record that bears a distinctly Bonnie Spacey sheen.

Damon Jee is back on Polaris.This time, he presents ‘Memories’, a significant Ep composed with Demian, a Damon's old friend and brother who sadly passed away recently. Demian was a lovely person with a big heart and he was also a very good DJ and producer, with some great releases on Kompakt and Correspondant, to name but a few.
This ep is a tribute to Demian, may his soul rest in peace.

We start with ‘Memories’, a featuring track vibrant square waves and perfectly harmonised electronic composition, immediately mesmerizing the listener with its fascinating leitmotif and arpeggios, serving as a musical testament to a trip beyond time.

After the wild success of Dina Summer’s first bouquet of remixes from their latest album Girls Gang, they return with fresh cuttings.

First up are Boys’ Shorts—the Greek DJ/producer duo comprised of Vangelis (formerly of LAGASTA) and electronic artist Tareq. The pair have toured Europe and the US, performing at some of the most renowned club venues such as Berghain and E1. Their hyped, dance-ready sets blend elements of disco, slow techno, and acid house into a unique and distinct sound.

They take Promise Me and rip it from its roots as an early goth, coldwave track steeped in archaic gothic romance, then prune and propagate it into a futuristic house track—replanting it in a digital dimension. Boys’ Shorts use the chorus as the core element, and as Curses’ luxurious, decadent vocals unfurl, they spruce it up into a dance edit with shimmering snares, a bouncier bassline, and 4/4 drum patterns reminiscent of the Roland 808.

GizA djs are an eclectic duo from Italy. GizA is an acronym of their real names Gian Pietro and Tiziano. Their collaboration began in 2005 playing together in events at their own Xtreme Festival: an electronic music festival in Italy that turns roads, bridges, tunnels, warehouses and unconventional places into new dancefloors!

Their productions are strongly inspired by the natural context of the nearby mountain areas of their hometown, Belluno, a delightful city on the edge of the national park of the Dolomites. 
Soon Solomun started to play some of their productions and released one of their tunes on Diynamic Music. 

The guys about their 4 track EP: 
’Express Yourself’ - During the creation of this song we always imagined that it could be a perfect soundtrack for some action films!

’Averau’ is the name of a beautiful mountain peak of the Dolomites (near our hometown), the song is like a trip in this fantastic landscape. If you pay attention you can hear some natural sounds of this place.

’Road to Delphi’ is a real dancefloor track which we did in a hotel after a festival in Italy. Few weeks later we put all the ideas together and finished it with some additional synth work in our studio. 

’Aliento del Mar’ means „Breath of the sea" which is the final track to close our journey.

Giza DJs are the artistic project of @gianpietromusic & Tiziano. The two Italians merged their skills and shared influences establishing themselves as an eclectic production and DJ duo with a recognizable style in the electronic music panorama.
