Release Info:
Cacao celebrates one busy year of releases with the first edition of „There's Always Cacao In Exotic Places“. The compilation features a various string of releases signed by a handful of the artists that have brought their mark to the label so far.
The opening track „Everything“ by Gonzo-Gonzo spells melodic from the get go. With low sung garage-like vocals and a melancholic, torrid summer ambiance, it mesmerizes and has a surprisingly tender effect.
House master Rick Wade proves his dexterity in crafting smooth house grooves on „Latina“, a highly sensuous track with clear South American influences.
Moon Harbour and Get Physical alums Luna City Express lay down a penchant and deep arrangement in „Classic Dance part 2“, uncovering their trademark subdued-yet-powerful aesthetic.
Cacao label bosses K.E.E.N.E. join tech house chief Robosonic into a distant journey on „Waters“, another deep exploration with liquid elements. Stripped of vocals, the instrumentation comprising of chords, a heavy hitting bassline and sinuous melody spells pure enjoyment.
Dub Tech producer Tigerskin’s offering, entitled „January, June, July“ not only brings together the only months in a year beginning with a J, but some deep and dubby atmospheres into the mix. The track stands on the solemn sides, bringing together cavernous spaces with eerie sounds and grave synths.
Zombies In Miami offer a pounding techno finish to the EP with „Cabalah“. Centered around a dubby bassline and tribal percussions, it’s a playful set up that evokes tribal atmospherics.

PREMIERE : Marc Moosbrugger - In Between [Neele Records]

Fade continue to impress with their early run of releases, and behind this latest one is boss Joran van Pol, who calls in long time friend Whyt Noyz for a remix.

This new project from van Pol comes after amassing a fine discography with releases on labels like Minus, Rejected, Sci+Tec and Ideal Audio. As such he has the support of all the big hitters who often reach for his tunes and as a DJ he is just as in demand, with key slots everywhere from Space Ibiza to TimeWarp all behind him. 

This EP was written in a new studio in Amsterdam which has given him fresh impulse. The title 'Meta' refers to the abstract sound of the track, it's abstract indeed, with industrial noises and alien lifeforms detailing the stripped back and dry techno grooves. It's one to get into your head in a dark warehouse and is a fine opener.

The top remix comes from Whyt Noyz, who will be the next artist to release on this label. His back catalogue takes in essential labels like SCI+TEC and Minus and his fresh remix here really impresses. Dry hits, spaceships taking off and sweeping white noises blasts all make for a tense and atmospheric techno trip.

The alluring 'Estimate' is another widescreen techno roller devoid of human life, with machine sounds, clacking metallic hits and turbulent synths all adding up to an eerie bit of sonic landscaping that is designed to lock in big crowds.

One again FADE and van Pol have come up with some stark and standout techno sounds here.

Kotelett & Zadak are coming around the block with a magnum bottle full of french fries in their bag. 
Where the two actually originate, nobody knows for sure. Rumors have it that they once had a common love for sprat fishing and point their fateful meeting to somewhere on the North German Coast.If you believe the various rumors, Zadak lost his pants in a raid by the Department of Fish and Game, while Kotelett, due to an overdose of moonshine, lost his Boating License. Both lost their Fishing Licenses and, whoops!, there went their livelihood...What was left for them to do but abscond to the interior, a bleary-eyed and shady escape to where no one knew them by name. "From now on ...." one of the two is said to have mumbled into his beard; which one is still not known. All in all it was a perfectly logical development, since the nights were rough anyway and the lamest things always ended up in the Net...if all catfish are gray.And so, control rod was quickly exchanged with controller, stroke side with backspin, and fog horn with fog machine. What was formerly filleted, is now being filtered, what was being caught, is now pitched. Since then they have never again scrubbed the decks, but instead record from them.Now, wherever they drop their anchor: there blows a strong bass-breeze, sound waves rise and no shot glass remains dry. Every Mermaid has exchanged her ingenue for a good pair of dance shoes and goes crazy from the unmistakable sound of the two self-acclaimed Club- Irish. Whosoever doesn't hold tight to the bar will be swept away like the sprats in the net.Even after days-long sets and a potently boozy fee, a glance into the crowd of faces, tanned by the thick club air, reveals all: Kotelett and Zadak remain uncompromised and bring together that which belongs together - music and magic moments. (The Department of Fish and Game would like to add: "We are simply happy to be rid of them.")
