It is one year ago that Mathias Kaden presented a very personal journey to his musical roots in the shape of an album called "Energetic". Equally as long he has been out in the world as a live act - with some large analogous luggage and the same joy of performing with which he had won many hearts as a DJ on the dancefloor beforehand. After the first batch of remixes (among others by Michael Mayer and Redshape) there are now following further revisions of three of the album's tracks. 

Finally, “Soulmakers“ and Spain again. The duo Pulshar drapes its remix in a warm dub blanket with many delays, soft strings and smoothly bouncing bass drums. The perfect conclusion to this second part of “Energetic” remixes.

The latest single taken from No Fantasy Required, “Blondes Have More Fun,” is accompanied by a trio of remixes from contemporary electronica royalty: prolific Swedish producer on-the-rise Jonas Rathsman, Running Back boss Gerd Janson, and international house and techno breakout du jour, The Black Madonna.

I didn’t have too long to turn it around in between touring! But it all came together so quickly and I’m super happy with the way it came out. Tiga told me he was very happy also and that is so nice when you are delivering a remix for someone :) I’m really excited to share this one with you all.”

Super Flu – Musik 3

A British spaceship has to do an emergency landing in Halle. Professor Quatermass and his colleagues are able to locate the two astronauts Feliks Thielemann and Mathias Schwartz who are in a state of complete shock. There is nothing left but empty spacesuits after their fellow astronauts. However, they find the residues of a jellylike substance in their suits, and at the lab they discover that the substance is Musik 3. When checking the security tapes recovered from the space ship, the conclusion is that an alien life form has snuck on board, which is responsible for the disappearance of the two crewmembers.

Their own label, built with no creative boundaries, Radau is a playground where the Berlin quartet remove all limits and expectations and dig deep into the mindset and experimentalism that united them in the first place. 'Frequent Tendencies' sets the scene perfectly. A loosely hewn sliver of emotion constructed just a smidgeon off grid, there's a natural momentum as we're thrust deep inside a vociferous synth hook that rises unapologetically, gradually taking us to a surprise pivot. From here the articulation switches, a whole layer of weight and emphasis on the riff opens up and your crowd won't just elevate, they'll levitate. With plenty more music due on both Radau and beyond, it seems GHEIST's impeccable acceleration over the last two years will continue for a long time to come.

Rising talent Tibi Dabo, aka Max Guardans, brings his distinct and eloquent production to Rebellion this Summer with two tracks that will set dance floors alight across the globe. Title track La Dorada creates a brooding atmosphere with synths that weave together over industrial drum pads and an intricate, twinkling melody that descends into a crescendo of percussion.
