Recorded LIVE in Why Nam Beach, Koh Phangan, Thailand. This was such a great day & night party on the beach. I played from 17.30 until 20.00. I love playing more sunny for sunset and then going more heavy when the sun goes down. The crowd and vibes very magic from start to finish. This event was done by my friends from Bar 25 who started hosting events on Phangan. Maybe someone remember the famous Bar 25 after-hour club in Berlin (which does not exist anymore).

Italian duo Modular Project align their analogue gear and do what they do best in modernising nostalgic melodies and propelling them with punchy drums. After releases on Permanent Vacation, their own Nothing Is Real imprint, Motordiscs, hfn music and an edit for Jennifer Cardini’s Dischi Autunno, Modular Project release their debut on Exploited Club.

'It's Time' renders a vision of 90s hedonism as pupil-widening sequences bind with ecstatic pianos in a warm, rushing embrace. Thick, accurate drums give the track pace and power with claps and hats flickering overhead like strobes through fog. 

'Sex!' then rolls out a neat and classy groove as the sturdy bones of a Disco beat thump under a snake-hip bass, serrated acid line and bold, unfiltered piano chords.

'Echosphere' then dims the lights as swooning vocals (by Lattedoro) and glacial stabs are draped over snappy, broken drums. Modular manipulation drives the growth of the track as it blooms across an Intergalactic trip rounding off a varied but cogent record that speaks to the core of Exploited's ethos.

A regular at the Gardens Of Babylon events, Budakid has honed a distinctive shade of heartstring House and Indie Dance which has touched labels such as Permanent Vacation and Berlin's Watergate. Here, he delivers 2 travel tickets for 2 disparate trips. 'Infinity' is a journey in the truest sense of the word. Through an effervescent bass sequence, clever filter control and kinetic drum work, Budakid generates consistent motion from start to finish. Euphoric melodies are layered as the track gathers lucency before a wide open breakdown renders a patch of interstellar drifting. Distant snares snap overhead as the bass sequence courses into focus, reeling the listener back into the pilot's seat toward a vibrant conclusion. 'The Curse' then illuminates some gooey, 90's memories. Nostalgic chords are given buoyancy by snappy, Bicep-esque breaks and a pair of synth lines that are braided together - tumbling over one another as they carry the tracks energy. Quickly following up the last, instant sell-out smash, Shir Khan's infamous "Black Jukebox" series hit us with the 12th edition. Introducing anonymous project Aussteiger who gets things bouncing with the Summer house monster, "Bangbao". Lush filter sweeps, twinkling keys and powerful bass are order of the day here as the producer works his magic on one of the sunniest grooves we've heard this year. "Return" keeps that outdoor terrace flavour but plunges us deep into the twilight, tribal drums and deep electronics locking us into its hypnotic recess. Martin Lewis contributes a seriously fun and summery version of "Now That We Found Love", utilizing glorious xylophones and horns throughout the melody and letting it roll out with aplomb. Finally, we get the cheeky "Do It" edit which combines hypnotic congas with funky guitar licks and a sun-burnt, Latin energy to create a sizzling brew of hot dancefloor energy. Great stuff!
