After a long hiatus Shir Khan hits us with the 14th edition featuring Onsra & Bas Roos. Secret Parisian project Onsra returns after killing it with "Funky Town" last year. First he gets down on the terrace with the loopy banger of "So Good". A 112BPM disco house number which has a touch of that old Soundstream magic about it yet is instantly, undeniably a Shir Khan favourite. When those string-led bridge sections burst into life you should see the whole terrace unite under some Vitamin D-laced pleasure. "Other Day" packs a bit more umph with tough boogie licks looped and chopped for more funky dancefloor goodness. Bas Roos takes over the flip and is a newbie youngster from Rotterdam with a fresh residency at Toffler Club keeping things bright, smooth and wide-eyed with "Searchin" and "Don’t Let Go The Disco". Both tracks epitomizing the feel-good spirit of classic funky house whilst still keeping the modern day nu-disco crowd happy. Shir Khan rides forth! Vinyl only, limited run. Move quick!

Across a string of well received records on Seth Troxlers Play It Say It, 20/20 Vision and Moan Recordings, The Mekanism has honed a refreshingly uninhibited sound - one that pops with joyful expression and works to serve the sort of free-flowing parties he regularly plays across the US and Mexico. Here, he delivers his trademark sound with Do The Disco - a rapturous cut that features percussion from Grammy Award-winning percussionist Jorge Bezerra and an alt sax replaying of Do It At The Disco by Garys Gang by Tom Barford with a gracious nod from Nervous and Uni Disc. The taught skins of Bezerras drums rattle out of the blocks and get things off to an electrifying start. Pattered into dexterous of polyrhythms, they carry that certain energy that drives a marrow-deep motivation to move while a straight 4/4 kick maintains a solid boom throughout. Exploited Club warmly welcome in Pleasure Voyage who step up to the plate and do as they do best: casting out a wide musical net, gathering in influences from Breaks, House, Disco, Balearic and Funk whilst pulling in a hefty dose of fun, flair and ecstasy to boot.

'Cuánto Cuesta' is a simmering pot of pure joy. A bubbling bass line has the track on a low boil throughout while luscious, buoyant synths intimately jostle alongside bold but allaying piano chords. Classic breaks snap in the back while a gently acidic lead flexes in and out of focus and the resultant groove sends out a clear and cosy invitation to get loose.

Claus Casper makes one hell of a return to Exploited Club with a dynamo for the dance floor designed to take the lid clean off the party. Claus Casper adds to an extensive catalogue with releases for Johannes Alberts Frank Music and Tensnakes True Romance to name a few. Here, he returns with the crystal clear intent to give DJs something to draw for when the party is at its absolute zenith. A snappy, muscular break is rooted to the ground by a tough 4/4 kick. This forms the bone structure of a groove that gradually whips up a frenzy, stacking exultation in layers as it rolls.
