There is a woman who lives in northeastern Massachusetts in a densely wooded area where my husband's family once had a summer home. It's beautiful around there, a nature conservancy. This woman never leaves the area. I think her family has lived there since the area was colonized. She walks the woods with her dogs and rarely speaks to anyone, very shy. We saw her one day while we were walking and she told us about how she knew all the owls in the woods and that they knew her.
