The original series of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, remastered by Dirk Maggs (director of the Tertiary, Quandary and Quintessential Phases) to give a full, vibrant sound, now with Philip Pope's version of the familiar theme tune and specially re-recorded announcements by John Marsh.

Join Arthur Dent, Ford Prefect,Trillian, Zaphod Beeblebrox and Marvin the Paranoid Android in their first series of adventures as they witness the destruction of Earth to make way for a hyperspace bypass, stumble upon the ancient planet of Magrathea, dine at the Restaurant at the End of the Universe, and seek an answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe And Everything.

Peter Jones, Simon Jones, Geoffrey McGivern, Mark Wing-Davey, Susan Sheridan, Stephen Moore and a full supporting cast star in these BBC Radio 4 episodes.

A special 55-minute bonus programme, Douglas Adams's Guide to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, explores the genesis of the radio series and its incredible success, with contributions from the original cast andproduction team.

Johnny Marr was born in 1960s Manchester to Irish emigrant parents and knew from an early age that he would be a musician. Forming his first band at thirteen, Marr spent his teenage years on the council estates of Wythenshawe playing guitar, devouring pop culture and inventing his own musical style.

It wasn't until the early eighties, when Marr turned up on the doorstep of a singer named Steven Patrick Morrissey, that both a unique songwriting partnership and the group recognised as one of the most iconic bands of all time were formed. In 1983 The Smiths released their first single, and within a year their eponymous debut album reached number two in the UK chart, paving the way for mainstream and critical success on their own terms.

For Marr, tensions within the band and desire for a wider musical scope led to his departure from The Smiths in 1987, ensuring the end of one of the most influential British groups of a generation.

Globetrotting Texan trio Khruangbin present 'Maria También', the first single from their upcoming second album ‘Con Todo El Mundo'. Formed of Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald “DJ” Johnson on drums; Khruangbin’s sounds are rooted in the deepest waters of world music infused with classic soul, dub and psychedelia. Their 2015 debut album ‘The Universe Smiles Upon You’ was heavily influenced by 60’s and 70’s Thai cassettes the band listened to on their long car journeys to rehearsal in the Texan countryside. ‘Con Todo El Mundo’ takes inspiration not just from South East Asia but similarly underdiscovered funk and soul of the Mediterranean and the Middle East, particularly Iran.

Ο δρόμος είναι ένας. Δεν είναι περισσότεροι από έναν. Είναι ένας και μοναδικός με την ελαφρότητα και την βαρύτητα των συνεχόμενων αφετηριών και τερματικών σταθμών. Τίποτα δεν πεθαίνει οριστικά. Στην πραγματική ζωή και στο σύμπαν της δημιουργίας απ το κάθε τέλος ξεκινά και μια νέα ανθοφορία, μια καινούρια γέννηση.  Και έτσι περπατιέται αυτός ο ένας δρόμος, μέχρι την τελείωση …ΩΣ ΤΟ ΤΕΛΟΣ …!

Σ’ ένα διαμέρισμα στον έκτο όροφο. Από κάτω ο πεζόδρομος της  Φωκίωνος Νέγρη.  Και η βοή ενός μητροπολιτικού πλήθους μόνιμη χορωδία μιας καθημερινότητας ανάμεσα σε στιχουργήματα, σε ποιήματα, κιθάρες και καφέδες, καλώδια και τσιγάρα, μικρόφωνα και αγάπη, με τον Θάνο, τον Μανώλη τον Στάθη εκεί, να κουρντίζουν και να ξεκουρντίζουν τις χορδές της ψυχής τους.

…Να θυμηθούμε τα απλά όμορφα πράγματα, αυτά που δεν μοιάζουν αλλά είναι δώρα που οι άνθρωποι καλούνται κάτω από εξαιρετικά δύσκολες καταστάσεις και αφυδατωμένους καιρούς να ανταλλάξουν…
Και μ’ αυτή τη σκέψη  άρχισαν όλα.
...Θέλω αυτός ο άνθρωπος που θα ακούει αυτά τα τραγούδια απ την ψυχή μου να κάθεται με κλειστά τα μάτια και να αισθάνεται…
…πως είμαι δίπλα του μέσα στο δωμάτιό του και του τραγουδώ απλά και ζωντανά με την κιθάρα και με καρδιά ….

Αυτά ήταν τα πρώτα λόγια του Θάνου. Έπειτα ανέλαβαν να πραγματώσουν αυτή του την επιθυμία, τα αντανακλαστικά, το κέρασμα των ψυχών και οι γνώσεις του Μανώλη και του Στάθη.

Ο Θάνος Ανεστόπουλος μετά από τις πολύχρονες ανθοφορίες ενός μεγάλου ταξιδιού με τα Διάφανα Κρίνα, χαράζει την δικιά του μουσική διαδρομή στα εγχώρια μουσικά πράγματα, με την πρώτη προσωπική δουλειά του που φέρει τον τίτλο  «Ως Το Τέλος» και κυκλοφορεί από την Inner Ear σε βινύλιο και cd στο label του Εξώστη.

In an apartment on the sixth floor.  Underneath, the pedestrianized street of Fokionos Negri. And the roar of a metropolitan crowd, a permanent choir of a daily routine among verses, poems, guitars, coffee, cigarettes and cables, microphones and love, with Thanos, Manolis, Stathis tuning up and untuning the strings of their souls.

... let’s remember the beautiful things, these that don’t look like but are gifts that people are called to exchange under extremely difficult situations and dehydrated times...
And with that thought it all began.
I want ... this man who, will hear these songs from my soul, to sit with closed eyes and feel...
…that I'm ... in the next room and I sing live for him with just my guitar and heart ....

These were the first words of Thanos.  The reflexes, the treat of souls and knowledge of Manolis and Stathis took over to realize this desire of his.

Thanos Anestopoulos, after the blossoms of a long journey with Diafana Krina (Transparent Lilies), blazes his own musical trail in the local music scene, with his first solo work, entitled "To The End" and released by Inner Ear on vinyl and cd, on the label of Exostis.
