Other Species is an album recorded by Bandfx and released independently in 2006. In order to reintroduce the material, ExportLabel has now decided to re-issue the album. The tracks from the original album are supplemented with ‘Jazzy Puzzle’ – a track released on GNs Compilation, as well as previously unpublished ‘Becoming real to you’. It is noteworthy that in 2009 a renowned radio presenter and DJ Mary Anne Hobbs played one of the tracks, ‘Mechanical root’, during her BBC1 radio show. 
 Bandfx is a band founded by Jacek Latoń aka Cuefx and flutist Dominik Strycharski. The project has also included Tomasz Barzęc, Elwira Skrobska and DJ Matjazz. The band plays predominantly nujazz, often mixed with electronic and improvised experimental music. In 2008 Bandfx have suspended their activities indefinitely, which makes the reedit of Other Species the most comprehensive look at Bandfx’s accomplishments.
