PSY HIGH 01 ⟡ MILANA

We are excited to invite you into the Amniote Editions universe 2.0 as we shed our skin and begin the journey into the next 5 years.

Celebrating the sonic history of the label as part of the anniversary. Artists who have contributed to capsules throughout the five years of the project were invited to dig into the entire back catalogue of releases and create their own unique take. The result is a beautifully diverse 12-track compilation that reinvents tracks, spanning from the first capsule that launched the label to the joint fundraiser compilations with Ute Records to the recent collaboration with the Berlin-based collective Mala Junta.

Paris’ fast-rising talent, @mac-declos (also known under the Amniote moniker Lōhis Neta), remixes the iconic “Skin Confessions” track by Mehen—the one that broke the internet from Mama Snake’s infamous Dekmantel BR set from 2018. Mac Declos reinvents this Amniote classic into a groove-driven, modern take on hi-fi techno.

The Australian branch of the Amniote project is well represented on the compilation. Intellagama (aka @hasvat-informant) offers an emotional remake of Sisilisko’s “Behind The Sun.” Jörmungandr (aka @eastern-distributor) spins the proggy, Goa-trance-inspired “To Be Free” by Monophonik and Riva into a fast-paced, psychedelic free tekno track. Suzhen Bai (aka @cloudyku) shares her version of the title track from her long-time friend Intellagama’s “Proof of Assets” debut EP from 2022. Finally, @a-m-u-w-a delivers a half-time, atmospheric version of Jörmungandr’s “Skogsrå” track from the second Amniote x Ute fundraiser compilation.

Sisilisko (aka @celestial-trax), who provided the stunning ambient album from the very first capsule, reimagines the ambient track “Wave of Awe” by Snog (Coluber) (aka Nature Boy), and Nature Boy himself delivers a rough, breakneck take on Mac Declos’ hit “Voy Voy.”

@monophonikmusic & @riva999 are becoming known for their groovy take on proggy, Goa-infused house and techno, which they effectively bring into their remake of DINA’s “Willow.” @dinakhashan takes us on an emotional and melancholic, yet uplifting, journey with her remix of “Introspective” by Heliobolus.

Berlin’s Horny Toad (aka @djhighfuture) brings her signature textured breakno sound into the tribal banger “Hey Mami” by Mala Junta’s Alphaconda (aka Hyperaktivist). Finally, Copenhagen-bred, Berlin-based Mala Junta founder @dj-tool showcases his talent for 90’s trance-infused yet modern sound design on his Spacetime mix of Najash’s “Quantum Critical.”

Sioc is renowned for his dark, detailed productions, seductive melodies, and hypnotic rhythms. Influenced by the early UK techno and trance scenes, his signature sound blends diverse trance elements with trippy grooves and darker techno. His discography spans respected labels like @space-trax @extra-energy @uniontrance @speedmasterrecords @silenceronline @elysium-archive @terenor-records @techlabbp many tracks becoming staples in the playlists of the industry’s most influential DJs.

Sioc has gained recognition in Berlin’s underground, performing at clubs like Berghain/Säule, with a standout 2023 closing set at Berghain. In 2024 he launched his own label Satori and joined the @nobordersmusic collective continuing to push the boundaries of psytrance.

"For our second release, circuit|breaker quips back the stacked offering of CBRK001 with another dynamic double LP, exhibiting some of the best local and international talent that’s cropped up on our radar over recent years.

The label is as driven as ever to build a bridge between our community and the wider electronic music domain, giving artists a platform to preach the sound that speaks to them, and this release is but another stepping stone towards greatness, for us and for them.

CBRK002 opens up with a rolling, gritty number that could only be Fergus Sweetland, as metallic voices beckon forth on ‘Untitled (ARP 1.02)’. Hasvat Informant, whose thunderous reputation precedes him, then storms the barn with the explosive ‘Abispa Ephippium’. The B-side shifts gears to Goa’s Dotdat and his frantically groovy track ‘Holo’, followed by a gorgeous minimal number by Berlin-based Pino Peña – Mia’s Pocket; one that’s sure to get summer dancefloors pumping.

The C-side of the record contains two heaving tracks, the C1 from the prominent force of Cloudy Ku with ‘A Room of One’s Own’, and the C2 from the dark visage that is disgrays with ‘Turmstraße’. The final side of the record has Amsterdam legend Juan Sanchez open the filter with a warm, jacking submission in ‘Indulge’, while the Berliner Marsch takes us home with a devious timbre that will have bodies glued to the floor on ‘Into You."
