"The Cleansing" was entirely inspired during a field recording session where it began to thunder while recording the sounds of a meadow. As the rumbles rolled through the percussive potential was revealed and in the studio later the acoustic and electric guitar layers brought out this chill yet powerful energy. A life cry of nature to the sky in anticipation of the rain; the cleansing.

The second in a micro-house experimental series experimenting with the use of field recorded percussive sampling. In this song the sounds of clapping, snapping, table drumming, and mouth pops and clicks are used to create an intricate and detailed evolving percussion layer. The synths work with this to create a fuzzy and warm journey deeper into the soundscape.
