It is my great pleasure to announce the 15th episode of Nachtblumen courtesy of Hüseyin Evirgen also known as Magna Pia. He is one half of Cassegrain, and is working on his own solo material as Magna Pia since 2016.

He studied composition, piano and electronic music at the University of Istanbul and Mozarteum Salzburg. He has composed music for theatre, dance performances and mixed media for almost two decades. 

As Magna Pia, Hüseyin Evirgen focuses on providing combative dance floor trips and unorthodox sonic moods with subtle 90s techno references while he keeps his interest in combining contemporary techno music with archaic symbolism. His solo releases include EPs on Soma Records, his debut album on Feral Note and his solo release on Arcing Seas.

In his set for Nachtblumen, Hüseyin delivers a very dynamic and diverse story, in which one can clearly hear how perfectly in control he is of every element. This hour is a great representation of what I love about the sound of Magna Pia – it’s deep, dark, emotional, driving and it can hypnotise you into a relentless state of dancing for your mind and body. I would like to share with you a recording of my performance at Gare Porto 🇵🇹 in the first week of February 2022. It was an extraordinary, magical night. Together we were able to evoke an energy that I will remember for as long as memory allows. Thank you!!!

It was pure fire, pure energy and joy. It is for moments like these - freedom and unfettered flow - I love what I do and what I give practically every moment of my "professional" life to. 

Thank you to everyone who made this possible. I bow to each and every one of you. 

I invite you to listen to a bit over two hours of music I had a pleasure to perform in Gare. During my performance I included not only new and fresh finds, but also tracks that I love and to which I return from time to time with a feeling of goosebumps on my body. Deep gratitude to the artists whose music ignites our imagination and sensitivity!

I believe that you will find in it something nourishing for you and that you will refresh your body and mind to the marrow of bones.

PETIT ASTRONAUTE (BAHN· Records | BUDE | Khôros) Beka Zakradze aka Petit Astronaute is a Georgian artists who has been developing his style since 2010 paving a trademark hypnotic sound with euphoric elements. A regular in Georgian electronic scene, you can easily catch him in Tbilisi or Kutasi, where he is resident at BUDE club, but Beka has also made his Berlin debut for Art Bei Ton and played at Fabrica 126 in Sofia (Bulgaria).
