vol. 55 comes from Eastern Distributor, a fast-rising producer and DJ out of Warrang/Sydney with a penchant for creating and mixing energetic, proggy, trance-tinged techno, electro and broken beat. He's also one of the minds behind @shed_syd as well as resident at local techno party Renegade. Daniel's slew of self-releases and contributions to local labels like @innertheft and international labels likle @pokeyprods are all killer and his mixes are just as good, with the @bizarro-recs mix being one highlight. His melt mix treats us to an engaging selection of diverse electronica spanning a wide variety of genres, tempos and moods, from dubby slow jams to speedy prog. We love it!

Los Angeles’ UKG stalwart brings us the latest Time Is Now release: a 140BPM 5-track special sure to rip open any dancefloor.

Although Sage Hunt wasn’t born into the UK hardcore continuum, the UK hardcore continuum was decidedly born into her. In the space of her relatively short career, they have fast become one of the scene’s most recognised names, having shared lineups with the likes of Conducta, Sam Binga, collaborated with Oakland badgal bored lord, and appeared on our last TIN compilation alongside Soul Mass Transit System with Sexy Thing. Forlorn EP showcases what else the UKG fanatic has tucked up her sleeve, slammed with big and bad warped basslines, raga vocals and saxophone atmospherics. Strap in!

Vancouver’s @destratavan debuts on Scuffed Recordings with three warping, club-ready tracks. 

In his short career so far, Destrata has worked with a who’s who of essential underground labels, making his debut in 2021 on Martyn’s seminal 3024 with the hybrid drum workout ‘Bait & Switch’. 

Now making his first appearance on London’s Scuffed Recordings, Destrata offers up three new tracks on the Mutationist EP.

On the title track, Destrata lays out a statement of intent with chopped vocals, lurching bass and tension-building synths.

Over the past 6 years, Milenze has successfully navigated her way through Sydney’s diverse electronic music scene as an esteemed DJ and producer. With influences stemmed from Sydney’s pre lock out era, Milenze aka mi77enz has been a regular commander of dance floors across the city and beyond. Beginning her career as a DJ while simultaneously running events to showcase and mentor local talent, she has established herself as a prestigous figure among the DJ community. 

Choosing to deviate from genre expectations, her focus as a selector has been to curate sets with a mixture of old school house, heavy rolling kick drums and dubby baselines. Milenze is no stranger to throwing down rapid breakbeat alongside dub techno, sneaking in a rave classic from ’94.

@eastern-distributor aka Daniel Jakobsson is a fledgling Sydney producer and DJ taking influence from his travels around the world.

His selections and productions typically revolve around the higher energy levels of techno, electro, bass, breaks, acid, and grime. This mix being no exception, ranging from 140 - 180bpm of face-melting breakbeat and footwork.
