For some of my recent battles, I recorded quick proof-of-concept demos after one or two writing sessions to gauge opinions on the direction the project was going. I'll be posting the ones that differ meaningfully from the final product here.

A decade on the web and I’m still going strong
Now you’re only getting bread from grandmas at the pond
You’re a fad, for a day you were the hot thing to play
But then they waddled away ‘till the very next game

Goose:
You’re playing the original Goose Game
Face-to-face, ain’t a wild goose chase
Usain Bolt how I swoop in to your roost
Lay with your mother till she’s laying my goose egg
Good heavens! - Then the next Tuesday
Back to your pond and grabbed ya mum’s honkers
She’s my side piece - now that’s my new option
Hatched, now you’ve got a batch of new offspring
It’s your chance, cuz that’s who you ought to
Ask to view all your tacky new content
I’m the gold standard handling toddlers
You don’t take silver, you’re repping COPPA
Back to your momma, in case you hadn’t heard
She’s going down when I pipe her like Flappy Bird

The Duck Song vs Untitled Goose Game - Proof-Of-Concept

For some of my recent battles, I recorded quick proof-of-concept demos after one or two writing sessions to gauge opinions on the direction the project was going. I'll be posting the ones that differ meaningfully from the final product here.

This was written before we had fully figured out the tone of the battle. This definitely leans more into Kumo's writing style than mine and ultimately we decided some of the jokes were too weak or general to work so we later replaced them. The foundation of the verse stayed similar from inception to completion, though.

My trilogy's like my aim, brother, I don't miss
While your series been trash since dubbing it "for kids"
Your games been stupid easy for years, we know damn well
Players boot up they handheld and get they handheld
I'd never eat this electric rodent, the salmon's on
Instead I'll vaporize ya like Goku, that's how a Dragon Ball
Your shocks sent kids into hospitals, they said Porygon did
How ironic that Pokemon is this outta pocket
Owner still 10 but you getting old mad fast
You peaking, Pika, I char Char and make Ash ash
Caught you in my sights, you wiggling like a loose tooth
So when I bring the fangs out, I'm the one who chews you

Just found this in my files, completely forgot I did it
Same lyrics as the final version, I was playing around with a Pico voice filter for the entire battle and also the flow on the "turn off the business shtick" part is different

Blitzo vs Pico - Proof-Of-Concept

A very early version of Yakko's first verse. Uses the same 4 opening lines but everything else is very different. Uses a different beat and the rest of the lyrics are different.

Yakko:
Already fought Jay Pac, now I’m facin’ this frog
I know you say “hi-ho”, let’s see if you “hip-hop”
Bud, I’m not the type of toon that you let go first
Because I’ll hop up on a track like helloooooo verse!
Animaniacs, totally insaney raps
Play the track and Yakko will berate this baby craft by crafting flames that I’ll phrase in a way to attack and berate this hack with zany gaffs that’ll make you laugh ‘till your brain has engraved the fact
That I am a crazy classic from the brain of Spielberg
While all your samey acts are just you playing teacher
So I sang to my audience the name of every country
And yet I still couldn’t find a single place that says you’re funny
