On our third-year anniversary, we are stoked to launch ‘Yellow Island Various Artists 2021’. The compilation brings new faces to the label and features artists from different countries around the world, allowing each artist to express their own essence.

This V/A showcases experimental sounds, with 20 tracks that flow through the genres of house, lo-fi, electro, IDM, breaks and jungle.

We had the pleasure to have Gabriel Massan design the cover artwork for the album.

This year I’ve been waiting to find the perfect opportunity and mediums to release videos and had several failed attempts, so my last lesson this year is to stop overthinking and using my diverse abilities on a more constant basis to create a content that reflects my being focused on the music and free from all the pressures imposed by the so-called industry. Also this year I started to integrate my dance on stage and had the honor and grace of keeping busy working with so many amazing humans and projects, I want to celebrate the incoming 2020 because the now already won .O. ‘The album was written while researching and reading about the role that the US played in installing dictators in central and south America. The harsh and industrial sounds I used as a way to talk about what happens when the harsh reality of neo-liberalism takes over a country that could do very well without it.

I was reading and watching documentaries about Haiti and Cuba and trying to imagine what those countries would be without any western influence.
