Slumps Sounds presents SLMP001, the long awaited debut EP from the label’s co-founder baccy beard. The EP features 4 club-focused tracks, a collection of works conceptualised around the experience of waking up in a field after a heavy night of festival hedonism. The EP features 3 original compositions by Jack Hodgson aka baccy beard, plus a bonus remix of the title track from Lydios (Dominic Waterfield & Archie Docherty).

4head is a natural headache treatment applied directly to the cranium for fast +  effective relief without pills. The EP opens like an intense migraine with blistering pulses of feedback... Blazing square waves and stabbing synths erupt in an ecstatic fanfare, channeling memories of warehouse raves and late-night antics. Spliced vocals and metallic screeches build the momentum as baccy beard’s suped-up breakbeats and heaving basslines infuse the title track with the anthemic force of a footy-rave.

Gimme A Break Records return with their first release of 2022 courtesy of Los Angeles-based producer and DJ, Introspekt. Through residencies on Threads and Balamii Radio, as well as a guest appearance on Lobster Theremin’s Rinse show, Introspekt has explored and developed her deep-seated passion for underground UK Garage, Dubstep, Grime and Jungle. Having recently contributed to Juke Bounce Werk’s “JBDUBZ09” and Sticky Tapes Sample Pack Vol. 1, Introspekt gained her first physical release through a stunning remix featured on Eliza Rose’s “Plant Lovers EP”. Her debut EP “I Know U Want Me” affirms Introspekt’s inventively nostalgic production style with four club-ready tracks spanning 4x4, 2-Step, Dubstep and Grime styles.

Longeez - Top Guy EP

Off Beat return with their third release - a mind-bending three-tracker from label-head Ryvahl.

Kicking things off is title track ‘Protopattern' - an off-the-wall sub-bass nose and chest tickler with heavy, scattered drums that are modulated to destruction.

'Send Signal' continues in the same vein with more of the classic sound design of Ryvahl’s previous work. Swift, choppy, UK sounds combine with juke hits, drum machines and dingy reverbs to expand the stereo field into a 4D landscape.

Closing out the release is the playful 'Blacklight'. A drum tool that would appeal to fans of Pearson Sound and early Night Slugs records. Big tip!

Across our tenure as a platform, we've been privileged enough to host a number of tracks from one of our favourite and hottest-tipped upcoming producers - 9TRANE. In the past, we've premiered 'Karbon' & his exceptional remix of Hedchef's 'Transparency Illusion', both deep, bassy creakers that bubble away nicely in the murky, UK Bass bracket. This latest effort, however, may be the finest of the bunch. Debuting on the essential, multi-faceted independent record label, promotional channel & online bass music platform Simply Deep, 9TRANE has come in clutch with a stonking remix of the ultra-talented J-Shadow's 'Modulator'.
