For our second instalment on Ghosttown Records we welcome London-based Eyeza to the label. The DJ and Producer, who also runs the Basilica imprint delivers a heavy three track EP, showcasing his versatile reflection of the contemporary club sound. 

"Exist Physically" opens with a pressure building drum pattern, shooting kicks and spacious claps, promising complete shutdown, while "IATTOB" continues with a percussive thriving, undermined by a dark, yet lively tension enriched by hypnotic vocal chops. "Off a Pill" follows its forgone energy and dives even deeper into a rhythmic and gritty hybrid soundscape to perfectly round up this journey at the verge of raw, grime-infused UK Techno, guaranteed to turn every dance floor into an ecstatic experience.

Krypsis and D-Nite fire up the XS remix engine for their debut on excess, creating a sound that is both raw and polished, gritty and ethereal. 

Perth-based Krypsis drops straight into “Warden”, an electro-infused number that is fit to soundtrack a night drive through the backstreets of the Eastern Bloc. Krypsis builds around his signature deep and fuzzy bass with an eerie, creaking palette and malicious synth stabs. Handing off to Belgium’s D-Nite for track two, “Glitch” starts up with percussion that matches its namesake and grows into what already feels like a set-closing track, with swelling synths and choppy breaks. 

As we move to the remix side, D-Nite’s reimagining of “Warden” takes the ominous tone of the original to a well-earned crescendo using lofty arpeggios and screaming leads. Krypsis takes a grittier approach on his “Glitch” remix - this is tough-blooded machine music fuelled by smoke and flashing white lights, itching to be let loose on UK dancefloors.

After a short hiatus at the beginning of 2024, we couldn’t be more excited to return to the digital series with it's fourth addition, courtesy of Newcastle-based Lace Atone.

The vocal sample in the title track, 'Beacon', features snippets of Joe Strummer's iconic wolf-like calls and creatively incorporates his in-between interval breaths from The Clash's post-apocalyptic anthem, 'London's Calling.' With Lace sharing, “The whole 'London is drowning' still resonates and holds true today."

Nervous Horizon is thrilled to welcome to the roster, Washington D.C producer and DJ, Soso Tharpa with a new EP entitled ‘Fistful of Shells’.

Drawing from bass, techno, IDM, as well as consciously letting his igbo cultural imprint flow and sonically drive this diverse composition, the EP gravitates between chaos and balance, thunderous energetic burst and vulnerable melodic openings, echoing the producer’s life journey, artistic growth and ever changing musical flair.

The textured deconstructed layers of fluid percussive motives in ‘Cyclops’ open the EP with a mellow hypnotic flow. ‘Pufferfish’, a syncopated bouncy broken jam, follows leading to the dance-floor-ready drum and bass influenced ‘Fist Full of Shells’. Moving back to a darker, more percussive groove, Knish and Sabado Gigante, a hybrid latin-afro-house club tool with acid hints and a catchy lead synth, are charged with a both grounding and electrifying dark West African energy that effectively sets the left field club tone of the EP. Slowing down the rhythm for the closing track, Tkapoi, Soso Tharpa creates an imaginary sonic route between the first and last track through which he can unfold, observe and rethink new parts of himself to discover a new foregrounding centre.
