It has led him to receive regular radio support on Radar Radio, BBC 1Xtra, Reprezent Radio, Mode FM & Trickstar with Grime’s top DJ’s Spooky, Slimzee & Riz-La-Teef all giving him spins on a number of occasions. Having played at Outlook Festival 2016 on the Boom Bap Boat Party for Killa P, Irah and more it catapulted him into regular bookings in his hometown of Norwich playing alongside the likes of Frisco, AJ Tracey, Logan Sama and plenty more. With the recently announced ‘Trajections Festival’ to look forward to playing alongside half of the grime scene he’s stacking tracks ready to unload. Killa P hooked him up with this unreleased ‘Nuh Failer’ vocal alongside Badness to create this dance ending track for the debut 1Forty Release.. Compute Riddim.

1 year after the launch of 1Forty with 3 heavyweight events in Leeds making waves around the country, the time has come to engineer our identity and sound further through releasing music under our own Record Label, orientated around the underground genres we represent. Grime, Bass, Garage & UK Funky. We have scoured the country to bring you the finest upcoming producers from each of the genres we will be showcasing through our releases. After the serious release success of Hamdi's 'Oxford Riddim (VIP)' in late 2017, it made perfect sense for Southpoint co-founder KXVU to step up with a mega relick of the tune. With this one we see KXVU deploy his updated breaksy style across a rebuilt edition of the VIP, doubling up with carnival inspired drum arrangements and sharp bass chops. Having received support from some of the biggest names in the scene, this is certainly not one to miss.

The second producer on this project to get his debut 1Forty release is On1. LOCKT (1Forty Founder) met the Birmingham born producer at Rinse FM where the two were both appearing on Marcus Nasty’s show. From then On1 kept in touch sending promos and once he had something that seemed a good fit for the label a demo ensued which was accepted at the first time of asking. ‘Ris Key’ takes inspiration from early Grime instrumentals, focusing on nostalgic sounds whilst creating space within the track to create more emphasis for the MC on sets.

On1 has begun to make a name for himself in the UKG scene over the past year due to his unique and moody productions. Taking a lot of inspiration from the likes of El-B, Zed Bias and Skream in the period where UK Garage was progressively getting darker and in turn creating dubstep. Five years after he started taking producing much more seriously he’s now supported two out of the three as well as Plastician who you could argue was amongst that transition, and Zed has supported his productions along with other tastemakers such as Conducta and Jossy Mitsu.

Focusing a lot on self releases and even vinyl releases, On1 the London based producer has released on a lot the most renowned UKG labels in the underground such as Gather, Downplay and Strictly Flava linking up with the likes of other 1Forty featured artists Shantie, Dizzle Kid and Kobe JT as well as ZeroFG and Soundboy Cookie who are also making strong moves in the scene right now. The end of 2020 see’s On1 making his debut release on 1Forty to end the year with a bang.
