With an aim for versatile, high energy DJ-sets, grittygun's 2022 quickly lined up with Dutch club nights and radio shows, such as Garage Noord, MONO, Grey Space In The Middle, Echobox Radio, Stranded FM, Future Intel, and Malmö-based station Retreat Radio. Working at record store 3345, a place where many different scenes come together through live events and a very varied selection of presented music, Gunnar takes an active role in the local music industry.

Joey Anderson remains committed to the deep rooted sensibilities of House music, it's very much in his DNA - drawing upon influences from the underground of New York city. Over the years he has released some of the most influential records in the genre - EP's on the likes of Latency, Syncrophone Recordings and Deconstruct - albums on the likes of Dekmantel and Avenue 66.

This month marks the release of a new album on Deeptrax.

His sound has always been cemented in a deep, philosophical energy. It's music as much for listening, ambience and mood as it is the dancefloor.

Over the years his music has gone on to reach critical acclaim and gained international recognition but it is his home city and the origins of the musical culture from which he draws strength, not the hype or social media circus.

Not one to dabble in eccentricities his music is stripped back, utilising uniquely programmed machinery to create delicate textures and weird dusty tones which often lead to a unique transcendence.

Joey is an artist we've been keen to feature in this series for a long time now and the result is just as special as we could have imagined...

ona:v is a Polish-born DJ, producer and promoter with an ear for dark techno and electro. 
A scientist by day and a DJ by night, the Edinburgh-based artist is an integral figure in her locale. Founder of the female and non-binary collective EPiKA, she curates a bi-monthly party called CiRCLE, where she books female and non-binary names from the harder side of techno and electro. 
Since entering the scene just before the pandemic, she streamed from Berlin’s HÖR Radio, played in Poland, Berlin and in multiple places across Scotland and the UK. In addition to her residency and internal work at Sisu, she garners a radio residency on Threads. Labels including Pollination UK, and Paradise Palms Records have released her driving productions, with a recently-released debut EP on Diffuse Reality.

Threads Radio Show - 28th September 2023

Following the final release of his three-part series ‘Order’, ‘Chaos’, and ‘Balance’, Bon-Psy has united the projects together into a forthcoming album, set to also feature remixes from a handful of talented producers in the Electronica space.

This second remix comes from ‘Nuage’, a respected producer with multiple releases on Anjunadeep and Phonica Records who leans into delicate and emotive electronic fusions of forward-thinking House and 2-step / Future Garage styles. Here, he transforms the melancholy and subtle approach of the original into an infectious club banger that is as catchy as it is danceable.

Kinetic low end provides the club energy while he tastefully repurposes the vocals with a scattergun effect to hit in and out over a swathe of soft synth swells and chords. The resulting piece draws similarities to the likes of Four Tet, Floating Points, and Caribou’s dance output with its blend of leftfield styles mixed with club rhythms.

Nuage is a name many of the heads already know with notable support from RinseFM, KissFM, FIP, Majestic Casual, and Mr SuicideSheep. Across DSPs he is known just as well and has been a mainstay of a variety of electronica playlists on AppleMusic, Spotify, and AmazonMusic.


Meanwhile Bon-Psy has also received notable support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6Music , Bandcamp Weekly, and a plethora of streaming editorial playlists including Genre Glitch, Fresh Finds Experimental (Spotify), New In Electronic (Apple Music), Reverie (Tidal) and Brand New UK (Deezer).

Collectively it’s a great artistic match and the track looks set to hit the dancefloors strong with early tastemakers already unleashing it to great effect.
