somehow the church interpreted as Peter as Pope!

and Rome was the dominant rule, if you're christian,
u were part of this school, until opposition!

Came, and the catholic church wanted dismiss this rift

as mischief, that started with Wycliffe!

This philosophic professor from Oxford,

was skilled in topics and lessons from God's word!

He wouldn't lay down like mattresses,

when he saw they down with unbiblical practices!

This rascal historically•

started a commotion that squashed the notion of papal authority!

As long as his lungs had oxygen, no stopping him,

till the Word got out like gossiping!

and was getting heard, producing the written word,

it would progress thru the printing press at Wittenberg!

Now we note well, even if the books don't sell,

we have a bible in many hotels!

So many men can be confronted with truth,

reformation, and this is just one of its fruit!

No 100 yard dash- but a marathon thus,

he died and the baton's thrust in the hands of John Hus!

Who's part of it's steps, but hardly regressed,

his heart of unrest, thru fiery threats, and martyred to death!

The flames starting• to spread,

so it passed to this drastic monastic cat, named Martin!

The voice that would mention,

and post it as 95 points of contention!

Namely, salvation's only thru the lord messiah,

today that flame became and remains a forest fire!

Not thru immaculate works,

or confessing our sins to the priests of the catholic church!

He'd get straight disowned, cuz he's facing Rome,

saying saved by grace alone thru faith alone!

In Christ alone, thru scripture alone,

all glory goes to the Lord who sits on the throne!

He would not consent and hide in a convent,

cuz he could not relent and deny his conscience!

He would stand tall, cuz he was empowered,

by God to see their plans fall like the Twin Towers!

But not for a personal victory,

but restore the church to its simplicity's historicity!

Throughout it all, many lives were lost,

but of course gained justified by the cross!

and endured pain trusting God as their source,

as they dispute, lies• to that we pay tribute!

If we don't learn from our past, we're headed for days of darkened future,

if we don't reform like Martin Luther!
