This song reminds me of only happy things. I found out about this song through this amazing music sharing group called control alt delete. It’s the most wonderful collaboration of people from across the globe who just freakin’ love music, ya know? So it started off my second semester of sophomore year just right.

I started this up the beginning of summer and got around to finishing it late July. I’ve recorded significantly less than I had hoped this summer. But Disclosure is quickly stretching their influence from the underground and above. I’ve basically been looping their album and EP along with Flume’s album this summer. Two very amazing and talented artists. And I’m ecstatic to see Disclosure this October. Check out their other songs, they will do nothing but get your head boppin.

First off I’d like to say, I belong with Andrew VanWyngarden. Many would understand.

But actually I love MGMT. Ever since the funky, synth tune smacked me in the face with oracular spectacular, I was hooked to say the least. It was catchy, lyrical, and so beautiful.

This song has always stuck with me because it means a lot. It followed me around some summers ago and reminded me to be smart about things. I thought, “control yourself, take only what you need from it”. And yeah sometimes, you don’t think it hurts but it does.

I wrote this over a year ago. It’s the third song I’ve finished, but the only one that is decent…. You’re stuck in a rut with someone and then someone else comes along and sweeps you off of your feet. It’s refreshing and you fall hard. You don’t know if it’s the best decision, but you decide to follow your heart. This song highlights the happiest moments and accepting the bitter end of it all.

This is a result of forgetfulness. I actually recorded this the summer before taking off for Atlanta, so it’s been over a year now. So this is nice and aged.

I was stoked to cover them, but unfortunately I wasn’t too happy with how this cover turned out… I’m too lazy to try to tweak it because I feel like my voice got deeper? Does that happen? Am I a man? Any who, this cover kinda sucks but I did it so why the hell shouldn’t I upload it.

So they were all the fuss and I ended up seeing them shortly after recording this with the Cults. It was fucking amazing man. I can’t forget my friend who just broke his leg playing rugby and was wheeled to the concert anyway :) Lol @ his efforts and lol @ the fact that he was scootering around all of freshman fall semester. #suckstosuck

But in all realness, I love this song and this band.
