darken til i'm the darkest, even though i always have fought it.
just lay me off in a coffin, no more do i wish for talkin'.

it keeps on feeding while i've had enough of it.
i hit the ground way too hard when i plummeted.
why did i lie to the ones that i trusted in?
now they all left to the place where the others went.

always in pain there's no way i'm recoverin'.
i slipped away from the days that were sunniest.
in me is hate i'm aware of how much it is, 
but really deep down i know i'm in love with it.

i can't stop it when it comes,
i'm a monster when i'm numb
why think of all the things i've done,
when it only boils up my blood?

i've grown to like it when it's tough, 
almost excited when i'm crushed.
i won't deny i've given up, 
but i never tried... not even once.

i guess what's scaring me the most is that i'm not afraid, because it doesn't matter what i'd lose or could accumulate.
and i've been bent out of shape, there's just no getting straight.
so i'm stay hoping for my end, 'til then i count the days.

shaped from the choices that i made at an age where i didn't know what would stay.
what i break are the things you cant replace, so the price is never paid in a bed of flame is where i lay.

can't forget.

This is the separate version of my Neil Young remix, as featured on my 'Sudden Death Blues' podcast for Strange Famous Records (available here: http://www.strangefamousrecords.com/podcasts/sudden-death-blues-sfr-winter-podcast/ - and check the rest of the site, naturally!). I didn't use any shortcuts in quantization - it's a long story but my way is usually the long way, and this is an example of that! Pretty straight forward and you can't improve on Neil, but this is just my way of paying dues to a song on an album that hit me at just the right time. Enjoy!
