Since releasing on Reinforced at the age of 16, Dominic Stanton has always remained one of the most influential producers in the west London broken beat scene. Those early adventures via numerous successful aliases laid the foundations for Dom's sound, eventually leading to the launch of 'Sonar's Ghost' in 2013.

Welcoming Sonar's Ghost to Metalheadz is now long overdue, so it's a pleasure to be showcasing 'The Fall and Rise Of...' as part of the Metalheadz Platinum series this July. Consisting of 5 collabs, 4 of them making the vinyl cut, the release draws inspiration from the rich heritage of jungle and breakbeat, effortlessly weaving together intricate rhythms and immersive textures. RUTA unveils its second Various Artists compilation, Erre, a release rooted in club music experimentation and aligned with the label’s commitment to a transnational creative ethos. With contributors hailing from Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, Germany, the U.S., China, U.K., and France, the compilation reads as a dispatch from a network of producers who share an intuitive understanding of rhythm-forward, bass-weighted dance music, no matter where they call home.

The tracklist offers a dynamic, shapeshifting palette: vocal-driven club tracks collide with broken rhythms, angular leftfield techno mutations, dembow-oriented tools, and even UK garage hybrids. No single genre binds it all together, only a sonic attitude marked by intensity, boldness, and a diasporic rhythmic fluency.

Erre is more than a showcase of tracks, it signals a maturation moment for RUTA, a label of Colombian origin operating from Germany, as it shapes its position within a more global, post-local club continuum. By drawing together both long-time collaborators and newer voices connected by a shared musical language, Erre builds not just a compilation, but an evolving platform for shared expression.

Polytope’s first EP welcomes two rising stars from the European bass music scene: Brussels-based fa:act and Parisian artist Meli Mena. The duo has crafted a six-track, club-ready opus featuring a special collaboration and a remix by Maoupa Mazzocchetti.

"COUGH TWICE IF YOU CARE" dives into the depths of the hardcore continuum with the distinctive styles of both artists on full display.

fa:act contributes two dancehall-inspired bangers with his signature touch: “Wizard Bubble” and “Breeze and Riddim.”

Meli Mena delivers two high-energy club tracks infused with breakbeat influences and IDM resonances: “Hot Girls Get Sad” and “SideQuest Nap.”

Together, the pair released the now-renowned 140 bpm club anthem “Dust Drip,” a track that has lit up dancefloors around the globe.

Each piece receives the unique analog treatment of Maoupa Mazzocchetti, who also contributes a powerful remix of Meli Mena’s “SideQuest Nap.”

'Protopia' is my contribution to the 10 Years Of Shaw Cuts compilation album. Featuring a plethora of talent, I am humbled to be among them. 

'Proptopia' is inspired by the ending of a movie, that feeling when you've made it through the obstacles and come out the other side. Emerging from the dark, damp forest into the bright, sparkling meadow.

Parule taps in with a five-track EP that explores different tempos and ventures into new sonic territories while maintaining some of his signature elements.

Stoned Squirrel opens the EP with a slow, head-nodding groove driven by a filtered acid hook and rattling percussions.

Off Shore follows as a stripped-back roller, evoking a hypnotic, submerged atmosphere.
Chants nods to Parule’s earlier work—fast-paced electro that dances between breakbeats and squelching acid lines.

Laufbahn is stripped down, raw and agonizing. Like running in circles with a broken foot.
Fujiyama pushes into the 160 BPM realm, weaving in lyrics and vocal textures from ŽEN's "Lov na crne tipke", a track Parule obsessed over throughout the past year.
