2019 Summer Dubwise DNB + Ragga Jungle Mix

Welcome to the new 5 track EP entitled Round Here by Born On Road core member and badboy DJ Selecta J-Man. His last outing on the label, The Dancehall Extravaganza EP, received heavy rotation everywhere from Tokyo to Tijuana so it is safe to say there is eager anticipation surrounding this next exciting project.

Title track Round Here, voiced by the understated, underground artist Rider Shafique, effectively takes a rinsing Jungle sound and employs Drum & Bass discipline to produce a New School Jungle sound, as raw as it is tight. Round Here is the edgy, Ragga-tinged dancefloor destroyer that will keep you drawing for it again and again.

Taking the title track up another level is a world class music video from Bing Bong films that draws on some key emotions expressed in Round Here by transporting the viewer into a paranoid world of inner city life. This is not for the feint hearted but is certainly one for a big screen with a loud sound system.

Each of the other 4 tracks on the EP make their own bold statement and have their own individual draw. The Rodigan laced roller ‘Cuss Cuss’, the classic Funk hook of ‘Worldwide’, the moody and tearing ‘Bruk Out’, and finally the collaboration with FLeCK on an old school Jump up sound called ‘Drum Song’; they’re all soundboy killers and there’s definitely and defiantly no fillers.

GARDNA - BORN ON ROAD WEEKENDER

DJ and radio host based between London and Bristol.

Inspired by sound system culture and the free party movement, Ezra’s sets are a celebration of high energy rave music, thunderous bass lines, piercing amen breaks, double drops and vocal chops. Energetically blending vocal heavy bass line ready Ragga Jungle, DNB, UKG & Breaks.
Drawing from childhood influences ranging from Psychedelic Rock and Punk to Hiphop, Ska, Reggae and Jungle. 

Hosting a monthly show on Subtle radio as well as being a Resident DJ for the Ska Bar at Shambala and also an OG Dubtendo resident. Playing festivals such as Balter, Boomtown, Shambala, Nozstock, Valleyfest and Nas in the UK as well as multiple Goulash Disko mainstage shows (Croatia), Funky Beats stage at Freekuency (Portugal), and shows across Southeast Asia warming up for the likes of Leeroy Thornhill.

Ezra holds down a long running residency at Shambala’s Ska Bar stage. Over the past decade, he’s played numerous shows with Dubtendo - from solo slots at Boomtown to B2B sets with Jaketendo as part of crew takeovers. Other festival appearances include Balter, Nozstock, Valley Fest, NAS, and multiple returns to Boomtown and Shambala. He’s also played international shows across Croatia, Portugal, and Southeast Asia, including main stage sets at Goulash Disko and warm-up slots for Leeroy Thornhill in Cambodia.
