Lost In Thought Podcast Episode 001

It's no secret that my musical soul went darker the last months. ;-) As a "first generation techno head" i can't hide my love for hypnotic, deep and raw techno sounds. One of the next remixes will be released under my alter ego 3runo Kaufmann. That's the reason why i'm now announcing this new project name. I've added it a few weeks ago additionaly on my F-Act artist page. Now i've uploaded a spontaneously recorded mix on my F-Act / 3runo Kaufmann page to show you my second (or first :-) ) passion.

I call this mix series "Deeply Rooted" and i hope you will follow me on my trip... ;-)

Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes F-Act to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Switzerland, Bruno Kaufmann aka F-Act has been a beloved talent in the progressive music scene for well over a decade. Often finding a nice balance between progressive house and trance, the Zurich resident has compiled an impressive resume since first emerging in 2009. Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, John OO Fleming's JOOF Recordings and LuPS Records have been key landing spots for Bruno's transcendent sound. Now, following a remix for Balkan Connection's BC2 to end the year, F-Act makes his Movement Recordings debut with a two-track showcase entitled 'Spectral Lines'.

Meanwhile, the equally impressive 'Stark Effect' keeps the peak time energy established by its predecessor. Muscular grooves, crunchy rhythmic structures and emerging atmospheres set the course for astral themes and cosmic arps to provide a bridge into the main break. Looking to bring greater emotional depth, the centerpiece delights with its flickering overlays and prismatic effects, eventually giving way to a rush of drums and ethereal finale.

This was my entry for a remix competition exactly ten years ago. Found the mp3 file on my phone and tried to open the old project file. But you can certainly imagine, that it's nearly impossible to work with such an old file. Especially because i worked with many hardware synths that i sold the last years. But i tryed to do my best on the mp3 file and "remastered" this remix. :-)

Bruno Kaufmanns love for music is not surprising given that he was the son of a music studio owner and therefore grew up surrounded by music and its technology. Bruno’s affection for electronic music equally roots back to his childhood with the key moment when he heard the album "Oxygene" of Jean Michael Jarre. These futuristic sounds have fascinated and inspired him until today. F-Act discovered his exceptional feeling for rhythm and music at a young age, which led to his first official DJ gig when he was seventeen. In 1993, he went into music production, and as a further step, F-Act has acquired skills in performing live. His live acts set F-Act apart from his colleagues and are a special highlight at every event. During the past years, F-Act has been releasing on labels like Baroque Records, JOOF, The Soundgarden, Black Hole Recordings, LuPs, ShinyPeople to name but a few. With his DJ mixes and live performances in various clubs and event venues, he takes the dancers into his own world with the special kind of energy he creates with his music. With a constant look into the future and the most unique sources of inspiration, F-Act continues to create high-level music and to enjoy taking you with him on his musical journey.
