I am from Sierra Leone and growing up me, my friends, and everybody wanted to come to the US or the UK. I mean, who wouldn't right? But the biggest misconception about moving to these countries is that everything is perfect. They think all the struggle we face in West Africa just disappears. But truth be told I face adversity being here everyday. I am thankful but at the same time, pressured by the system and my people back home. The system here makes us believe that we can have anything we want, when in reality everything we have here, we have because we are indebted, while the people back home think we are successful because we have cars, luxury phones and jobs. They don't know that most of us here are enslaving ourselves to make ends meet. In this song, I tried to explain a little bit of how I live and survive.  Hustling Everyday.

Hustle Everyday

F Con is a singer/song writer. He was born in a small village in Sierra Leone, West Africa under the birth name Francis Conteh. His father was amputated during the 11years of civil war. This tragedy caused him and his family to relocate to the capital city Freetown where he was exposed to a thriving music scene. He loves music and loves making music. Throughout life, music has been his inspiration and companion through hard times. He was introduced to music through church as a child in choir, and later started recording at local studios at a young age. F Con feels truly blessed to have made it to the US, even though now he faces a whole new world of struggles in pursuit of higher education, work and music. He's one of the most creative writers the African fans have yet to discover. Singing about his life, struggles and culture allow his fans to relate to his music on a personal level. He still turns to music when he feels down, and especially when missing home; Sierra Leone, a place of tremendous natural beauty, and love for the simple life.
