Mike Stellar, promoter, DJ and a man of many artistic tastes and musical flavors is presenting his Stellar Regions showcase series on the Chill Channel: “Stellar Regions represents every month the diversity of my music taste and discoveries. Second hour is always given to a guest mix to showcase talents I come across.

My guest this months is lithuanian lisbon based DJ Emylis, a true talent and music lover with above average technical skills.

From down to up tempo, organic to electronic, Emylis’ love for music has no limits. Hooked to DJing by watching “DMC championships”, this talented Lithuanian learned scratching before mixing, at the age of 14.
Practicing such technique, led him to hip-hop. Soon became one of the most wanted DJs of this genre in a country and shared stage with artists like Jeru Tha Damaja, Loop Troop, Ugly Duckling, & Dead Prez.
Eventually, his comprehensive approach to music and will to improve prevailed. “Electronic beats” became a passion and he was one of the first few diggers of this style in Lithuania.
Curiosity couldn’t keep him within borders. Five months layover in London in 2010, grew a huge interest in raising UK Bass music. However, fascination by warmer cultures brought Emylis to Lisbon by the end of the year, where African & Latin sounds were discovered.
