 Been a long season of discontentment 
When your sweet life changes wonder where it went 
As the cold wind blows and chills your bones 
You long for the clothes snug and warm as a home 
But it feels like you wanna break free 
You’re tired of the same old walls that you always see 
Though the world may be smaller with disorder and fear
 We can reach through the screen and there’s somebody there  

Feeble rays in the winter but I keep my chin up
It's all part of the season, when it’s cold you shiver
Old mistakes are a hinder but you face the mirror
And the crusts get tougher and the soup’s thinner

Get Up Off The Floor (1940s Style)

F-M Cossey is a multi-genre songwriter/lyricist living in Auckland, NZ, who collaborates with artists and songwriters around the world. She writes track descriptions for a Swiss music publishing company, and with her legal background she’s interested in the business side of music.

She's been writing with songwriter/producer Scott Free (Arizona) as The Free 4All  for many years, and with composer/producer Charles Brotman (Hawaii) with his side project band Barrel Thieves. She also writes with songwriter/producer/artist David Wallace (Toronto) as Signal House, and songwriter Elizabeth Usher (Sydney) as Tazzie Alley.

Most of F-M's catalogue is signed to publishers/music libraries/sync agents, and she's had music on horror movie The Man in the White Van, HBO Max movie Holiday Harmony, All American, an ad for Minted, a couple of jazz songs on Riverdale, Hallmark Channel movie Eat, Play, Love, independent documentary Breaking Good, several episodes of The Young and the Restless, on air promos, sports and reality TV shows.
