I'm thrilled to welcome Milo Bragg to the series, expert curator and founder of the Future Primitive label and Club Rooted mix series. We connected over a shared love of music occupying the space between genres and adjacent to the dance floor, and of tracing the paths these sounds have taken over the years. True to form, Milo's contribution is a lesson in atmospheric refinement, a spacious selection taking its cues from far corners and uncommon hours, at times paring to a single thread yet holding taut until its final note. "Sometimes you need to go downstairs and hide yourself in a room in order to appreciate the light, because there is always light in the darkness. Because when you are surrounded by shadows, that ray of light that penetrates like a very fine sewing thread is much more spectacular. And you feel it, observe it and reflect on it. Antagonistic needs."

As a devotee of nature, Atoloi (@atoloi) explores sound creating a mellow amalgam of layers using over-reverberated synths, field recordings, and self-created samples.
Not choosing the club-oriented way as a first calling, instead, his productions and mixes search for other depths, in which the listener can get lost while getting submerged by heavy-grained noises and evocative instrumental compositions.

Here it comes...
My heartbeats are adding up, warm, faster and faster and more intense.
Here it comes... I'm feeling them and it's not me.
My bones are positive, letting themselves be felt.
Here it comes... now I'm thinking:
"There's no going back from this journey".

On the other side of the river
Another me is coming... another me I am.

Will this be the higher version of me?
The one who knows love
Is it?

I shouldn't feel special.
But...after so much walking in the shadowlands, it is healthy judgment to recognize that my journeys are no longer the same. That I am going deeper and deeper.

Today I decide that nothing disturbs me, nothing takes me out of my centre.

That's why I feel it coming, here it comes, it's exploding and even though I'm an experienced traveller, I'll surely end up getting it all out without the fear of the shadows that usually laugh around.

Here it comes... it's flowing, it connects me.

That's the fear, the greatest of the Beasts of my nights.

Camu is next up on our Podcast series with a bewitching recording from last years Springkell gathering. The setting is a dim lit, softly furnished room of a Scottish rural estate with a fireplace gently crackling and whispering into the space. Everyone is quiet, sitting or laying still and diving into the sounds emanating from all four corners of the room, fully immersed in the ritual of communal listening 🐚

Camu is a Spanish born and based artist pulling at the deeper strings of ambient, drone and sound art informed electro-acoustic music. He is the co-founder of Madrid-based event space Especio Perpendicular that he co-runs with local group of fellow deep music enthusiats. Highly recommended for anyone in or visiting Madrid and looking for a night out of the ordinary 🌚✨

Charging headstrong into the cavernous spaces filled with drones, overheard field recordings, sounds hanging in earshot by the faintest thread, this journey is at the same time fragile and powerful. The dynamics flow with intent from barely audible to overwhelming, from fluid to abrasive, no stone left unturned in this microscopic survey of sound and emotion 🕯️

Easter Week 2025. We hosted our second live music and light show in Barcelona, featuring a series of DJ sets. This time, the night closed with an electrifying performance by Pillen & Camu from Madrid. Here's a glimpse of what their set sounded like.

For the first time collaborating on a mix, Camu and Joan Gila crafted this set for Temple 08 "world of echo", a series of deep listening events curated by Josephine and Camu himself at Espacio Perpendicular. 

The mix drifts through a landscape of minimalism, ambient waves, shamanic echoes, and deep, textural drones - an immersive journey through layers of sound.

Spanish sonic alchemist Camu joins us on the series with a deep session recorded at Lucid Dreams at Espacio Perpendicular, a Madrid-based event space he co-founded with like-minded individuals who share a beautiful ear for the more obscure shades of electronic music.

The Observatory - Camu @ Lucid Dreams, 2025

The night had turned cold by the time Camu began, but inside La Cabaña, everything felt suspended: warm light, still bodies, a low hum stretching through wood and pine. People settled into corners, wrapped in layers, quieted by the vibration that marked the start. The music felt transmitted, its slow-moving drones drifting through the wooden walls and into the forest beyond. The sound rolled out like fog under moonlight, patient, opaque, its motion too subtle to measure. It was music to dissolve into.
Minutes became air. The cabin started to tremble. Camu’s sense of space was uncanny, each drone a line drawn in mist, each pause a small release of gravity. Later came the fragments: field recordings, faint acapellas, echoes of the forest replayed from another world. By then, the cabin no longer felt grounded. It was a stationary vessel, hovering somewhere between the trees and the stars, surrounded by invisible energy. Somewhere, just beyond the clearing, Pablo’s bass murmured like thunder in a parallel world. When silence finally returned, it wasn’t emptiness; it was the echo of what had passed through.
