The Time Has Come is an ode to hardcore in all its rich sub-genres, but also a hybrid manifesto full of contrasts, both sonic and emotional.

In this first EP, the producer and DJ KimberlaID plays with polarities, manipulating multiple references to the hardcore scene as she goes along. The chimerical voices of fictitious characters carry us along as we listen to and traverse her universe - or rather, her universes, for they are so multiple. In this EP full of mental images, contemplative melodies gradually clash with synthetic rave textures and meticulously selected kicks to plunge listeners into an ecstatic state conducive to dance. Sometimes gabber, sometimes terror, broken or unclassifiable, each track on the project is a journey where fragments of a shrewd blend of melancholy, sensitive saturation and solitary reveries nestle. It's this delicate alliance that makes this a project that abounds both on and off the dancefloor.

When I play opening sets, I like to slowly appeal to people for the reasons that they may be going out: to move their body, to get away, to hear familiar and unfamiliar sounds, to feel sexy, to create new connections, or to obliterate something inside. Once I feel like I've finally got everyone on board, I get to push things into a stranger direction."
