Sharp Edges was created to simulate the feelings of being an angsty emotional teenager and listening to punk bands. I wanted to emulate the sound of a distorted guitar just ripping away with some garag-y rolling bass. Please excuse the master, I wanted it to sound like its coming out of an amp so its not the cleanest!

Sharp Edges

The track is titled "Broken" because the main robotic synth reminded me of a system breaking down, or something toppling over. This synth paired well with some sloppy drums and heavy fills throughout the first drop. The second drop is the life coming out from what has broken, represented by the loose flowing vocals, pads, and echo-y synths. Everything during this section is a lot more cohesive as well, and less sporadic. I love the contrast between the two sections. I hope it's as soothing, or raw, for you as it is for me.

The last three songs posted have all embodied an edgy and raw theme. Temperamental is how I had felt throughout their creation process. It was in the middle of COVID at the time, and I had just always felt irritable. Something inside me was angry, I don't know whether it was the situation at the time or something else, but it had come to life in the music. Its probably the hardest song I've personally written, which doesn't say much compared to what's out now lol. but the emotions are there, and I hope that it resonated with some of you! The ending is the breath of simplicity that cools out a nasty temper! ENJOYYYYY!

I’m super stoked to release this song because it means so much to me. Recess captures the nostalgic feelings of being a carefree kid. Playing basketball with friends or running through grass fields, you don’t learn how to play, you forget. This is something that I need to remind myself when worrying about new projects. Just have fun, play, and enjoy every moment. Recess is the embodiment of these ideals. I hope it resonates with you in some way.

Always Running

Blue World 1 is dedicated to the retro games that shaped parts of my childhood. Kirby, Sonic, Tekken and so many other games have such amazing productions for their soundtrack! It's really awesome to think of how these professional producers compose such beautiful 8bit soundtracks for the sake of a video game. I love capturing small gaming audio trinkets of memorabilia in songs like Blue world 1. This track specifically pays tribute to the realms these games created for me. Blue world 1 is the first of the series, and I hope to more levels in the future.

This song holds on of my favorite intros/builds that I have ever written. It takes you on such a journey, and always makes me so excited to thrash my head and let go of being so pinned up sometimes. And of course I had to include some nostalgic hints. Unfortunately, I lost some samples for the project file, but decided that “um…” was worth putting out as is. I hope you enjoy 💜

Perfect Storm is the first release of my new house project "Furrow." This song was inspired by the Tekken soundtrack. (Specifically Poolside) That series is so near and dear to my heart and my brother and I grew up playing it all the time. I didn't realize just how much the soundtrack added to my experience until I dove back into Tekken 8. Perfect Storm is my version of "softer" or laid back trance music. I've been sitting on this one for a couple years but the melody still held a place in my heart. The vocals just happened to fit into it like everything was meant to be! I hope you enjoy it <3

"Someone To Forget" began as the piano intro and slowly grew into a chill house and pop style song. I love the abrupt stutters of the synth stab because it really gives it such a fun groove. The minimalism and empty space lead to a more unique environment, rather than filling everything out like I was used to. It gave the project some room to breathe and also helped to not muddy the mix so much, creating a cleaner sound. This song is very special to me because it was one of the first songs that I had gotten to play out to friends and family at my wedding. I was extremely nervous, but everyone had given me so much support and love. Having all of the closest people in my life dancing to something I created, on the day I was united with the love of my life, was the most amazing moment I've ever experienced. Although it would be nice to get more fans, I don't need em when I have a community like ya'll. I am so grateful to be able to remember that day for the rest of my life. January 2023: "Close To Me" 
At this point in the journey I was getting into a ton of melodic and chill house inspired by artists like DEVAULT, Former Hero, and Ross from Friends. I wanted to avoid anything being too "in your face" and abrasive by using more deep and round sounds. I was listening to a lot of synth-wave and the general aesthetic of the genre happened to mesh into house music. I love the vibe of some laid back cruising and hearing a smooth and delicate progression evolve. The photos are taken from Jan. 2023 when the song was written so it can act as a time capsule for memories of those close to me. I hope you all enjoy <3

Close To Me

"Take Me Away" is a return to my roots, blending elements of future bass with my own unique spin. The track features three distinct drops, each exploring a different sonic avenue. It begins with a racing digital arpeggiator, the spark that set everything in motion. From there, it builds into a heavier future riddim drop before transitioning into a mid-tempo house beat, bringing all the elements together.

What I love most about this song is its refusal to be confined to a single genre. it’s an immersive escape, embodying the feeling of being 'taken away' to another world. When it was created, I envisioned soaring through space toward a futuristic utopia, completely lost in an electronic journey. Music has an incredible way of transporting us to a blissful subjective world, and I’m beyond grateful to be a vessel for this artform. I hope you enjoy the experience as much as I did creating it! 🚀

I was trying to rez this 2 year old project but unfortunately the file was corrupted. :/ It is very sentimental to me though because it was my first time doing vocals. The project is unfinishedl and the processing is trash, but I love the whole ambience and airy sound scapes that this song creates. It feels moody and dirty and imperfect which is what makes it beautiful. <3 Its probably fate I couldn't go back and work on it lol. The original is a beautiful piece and I recommend checking out his new project "Birkham".

“Don’t Wait” suggests independence. Don’t wait for me, pursue your interests and dreams without feeling obligated to stay. Don’t wait, Go ahead without me, I don’t want to hold anyone back. I’ve been liking liquid dnb lately because it is the perfect juxtaposition of fast rhythmic movement with calm melodic ambience. It feels like being in a warm meditative state while speeding down the highway. crafted on 3.17.2020 I honestly almost cried the first time I played this in the car.   It felt like a real breakthrough moment, where I felt very proud of my art. For this track, I incorporated more natural elements and instruments while still maintaining an electronic feel. Odesza was a big inspiration during the time of Ambivalence. I hope this song resonates with some of you the same way it has for me.
