I’ve always had this connection with music at such a young age, I grew up having a musical background. My dad was a musician & my mom was a singer. I started collecting Vinyl records in high school, Got inspired to start chopping samples & making beats.
I grew up listening to a lot of D’angelo, Badu, Maxwell, Dilla etc. and Thats when I fell involve with the Neo Soul sound. My deep 
appreciation for music & art is basically my main source for inspiration. That shit’s just has to be right for me to tap in.
I curated this mix for everybody who uses music as a temporary escape, for the ones who can understand. I‘m a 22-year-old producer and DJ from Johannesburg, South Africa. The way I approach my music is that any and everything can spark inspiration for me, whether it be hearing a piece of music that I can sample from a song or hitting a teaspoon on a surface to create some sort of rhythm. 

I was always interested in how music was made as a teen but in 2015 I heard one song from Goldwater in particular called Substance and at the time, I thought  it was the greatest piece of production I‘d ever heard and that was the catalyst that thrust me into actually making music. So in 2016, I got FL Studio from a friend of mine and the rest is history I guess. It wasn‘t until 
October 2018 where I started posting my own music on Soundcloud though. My inspirations have changed throughout the years because with every new sound I‘d discover, I would take inspiration from whatever or whoever was prominent in that sound or genre. But I will say that as of the past 3 years, 
J Dilla, Kaytranada, Hiatus Kaiyote have been some of my biggest inspirations because whenever I listen to their music it gives me a feeling I can‘t explain, no matter how simple or complex the music is, and I try to strive for that when I make my music and hopefully the people that listen to my music feel that too. 

For me, all it takes to curate a mix is one song. From there the digging and searching begins in order to create a stream of music that flows and weaves into each other to make a great listening experience. For this mix, it was the first song which is a remix of Raphael Saadiq and D‘Angelo‘s ‚Be Here‘ by JBird. Thankfully I was able to get it before it was privated on his Soundcloud page. Because the first song I found gave an RnB feel I just took that direction and looked for songs that were similar to that. The idea behind this mix was to make it feel like music you could bop your head to while driving, or music to play in a calm environment with your favourite people,  just smooth vibes in general.

Poulho has been pretty active in various contemporary music scenes since 2011. While growing up to Jamaican Soundsystem Culture, he continiously developed a deep-rooted passion for fordward-thinking sounds. Since 2020 Poulho is running an Online Magazine named Rhythm Blend in which he and the team highlights like-minded creatives from all around the globe through articles, interviews, mix shows and their events series "Hunnid" featuring DJ sets by Jarreau Vandal, Chamos and many more. Luca aka. RDSBD is an independent dj based in Naples. He defines himself as a music lover since childhood, thanks to his older brother Vincenzo who always put him into different forms of art. His love for music started with Rap/HipHop and a lot of Alternative/Indie Rock which are his main influences. When he met Sans in 2013, he was introduced to the Soundcloud community and Future Beats productions, which changed his whole view on music. In 2017 he joined the Neapolitan collective Suede, starting to write articles and music reviews, moving on later to mixing and the art of djing. His goal is to spread a message, transport feelings and also share something personal with the listeners through his mixes which he regularly publishes on his Soundcloud. Through music many platforms such as Night Swim Radio, NAS Radio, 0106 Radio, Source Radio, Mnrchy, Future Sound, Early Bird Radio and Dylerz became aware of him.

Omoidé (Ray Espiritu) is a Chicago-based
artist/producer and an emerging name cutting through Soundcloud’s feeds with the quality edits he has pumped out over the last year. Despite being rooted in the soulful swing found in hip hop and R&B staples like J Dilla, The Roots, D’Angelo, and Erykah Badu, he has found ways to diversify his sound and blend the familiar with the cutting-edge. Ray has remained a perpetual student of music since taking up the violin in 3rd grade and is self-taught on drums, piano, and guitar. He has found recent success being featured on renowned radio shows like Soulection and The Future Beats Show, while also providing production for artists on both a local and international scale.
