As winter lingers longer than expected, waves of indecisive weather permeate the planet. At the Harmonious Discord camp, we are picking up on deep connotations distilled in dreary afternoons. This weather is a perfect time to revisit some of our dub-minded artists with a special collaboration called Dub Excursions. Dub Excursions features label familiar Onium and features two rising stars in the expansive dub techno arena; Ivan Torres and James Kelley.

Intentions is breathing invitation to rise. Artifacts of ambient works and eco-botanal shades temper organic dub influences with expressive synthesizer design. Cascading momentum drives this pensive powerhouse to a floaty array of melodic bliss. Perceptions offers the compliment to Intentions, with the first selection setting the path and Perceptions moving us deeper. The soundscape is filled with vinyl remnants and complex pads, but the other elements bring a more aggressive techno flavor to the later sections.

Dub 7 cracks a smile in this rather serious project. It begins with evolving pads and a muted, dusty drum machine. Dub 7 really starts to open up in the middle with brushes of melodic leads that dance in-between the lush soundscapes. It’s successor Dub 8 is a good order sharper. Driving interstellar melodies and tense bass deliver on the dancefloor presence of this contribution from Ivan. Expect more from Ivan on the imprint and we are excited to have him.

Longtime Dallas-based sleeper sensation James Kelley (Subspec/Momentum League) drives the subtle but tense properties of Intentions into a skin-crawling warehouse techno piece. The once calming breathes now breed upcoming uncertainty as James layers on heady atmospheres. James gives us a crippling bass-bin workout for the afterhours.

Onium - Perceptions

Her contemporary and evergrowing style has led to her applying her passion to lots of collaborations, most of them being linked to Marina Karamarko with whom she organises Solis Ocassum, an event that focuses on Sundays and their afternoon party potential. Lately Ana Antonova has had her hands full, from her first EP, "Habay" being signed with Conceptual Black Records, which got released on February 2019, "Caramel" EP signed with Croatian house label Dobar House, Not Allowed from Serbia to Antonova and Karamarko collaborating once again through production; editing Billie Eilish’s song "Bury a Friend" which once more proved that she can easily play on both terrains: underground and commercial, while being and staying an enjoyable part of Croatia’s club culture. The greatest success of her career to date is release of her "Misunderstanding" track as part of "Croatia Gets Physical EP3" for well known label Get Physical.
She's a part of the THANQ Team for almost two years.

Chromatic Podcast 103 | Ink Project

Multi-instrumentalist musician (piano, bass & guitar, percussion, wind instruments, synthesizers…) and composer, his musical trajectory includes collaborations with bands from a variety of scenes, like hardcore, metal, jazz, folk, blues and hip-hop), as well as collabs for theatre, dance and performance events. Nowadays, he produces music covering a wide spectrum of styles, ranging from IDM to Glitch, Jazz, Electronica, Dub, Slo Mo and even Techno, having released on labels like Sinergy Networks (Klitekture branch), Permissive Records, AvantRoots, Redlight Music and Crosstown Rebels.

In the lasts years Fábel has nailed his productions and remixes, catching renamed eye´s such as Crosstown Rebel or Haunt Music (Mike Shannon's Label). Damian Lazarus´s label edited one of his collabs with Maceo Plex on his debut album for the English label. Fábels work on his last EP´s must be mentioned too, “However & Whatever” released on AvantRoots and his two recent Ep, “Long Way Home” and “Diálgo”, not to forget his remixes for national labels Redlight Music and Artico Netlabel, all earning great reviews and feedback. During his DJ stage in Valencia, he played all the clubs and festivals in Valencia city and area: Barraca, Repvblicca, Leclub, Latex, Mogambo, Banana, The Spot, Escuela de Calor, Kehouse, Hotline, Jam, La House Castellón, Electrosplash, Summer Party Metro Dance Club, On Murcia Anniversary 2001 y 2004, resident for the Overflow parties at Metro Dance Club Alicante, grasping lots of the staple Valencian public´s attention right from the start, alluring them with personal style and unique in the city at that time, added to an enviable technique. His sets are loaded with minimal, focused on the dance floor and of clear German influence; without forgetting electro, breaks and minimal house productions which always fit in his sessions. In 2012 he has been seen playing clubs like Moog, Macarena or Be Cool in Barcelona. Over the years he has shared booth with outstanding artists like Luciano, Superpitcher, Richie Hawtin, Mathew Jonson, Maceo Plex, Maetrik, Shall Ocin, Ellen Alien, Aril Brikha, Anja Schenider, Kevin Saunderson, Jeff Samuel, Stewart Walker, Troy Pierce, Sammy Dee, Pier Bucci, Mike Shannon, Akufen, Matt John and Alex Under and much more other artists – performing at Sónar 2012 http://sonar.es/en/2012/prg/ar/f%C3%A1bel_101), Fusion-Festival, Germany (www.fusion-festival.de), Fabric London, Observatori, Muestra MIMAA and OP Art and Swing clubs Lisboa and Oporto (Portugal) as well as Festival del Grec (Barcelona), IFI Festival (Pontevedra) and other events and festivals in the Basque Country and Navarra (Spain). His click with the crowd and his technique made him a referent on the Dskonnect artist roster, being their first recruitment in 2003.
