So far is a song by the band Habanot Nechama and the lyrics are partly in Hebrew partly in English. We both speak English but none of us Hebrew. Laura learned the lyrics from an English transcription. While singing the song, Meryem transcribed the sounds she heared in Arabic letters in order to remember the lyrics. She mentioned the similarity between the sound of Hebrew and Arabic.

If you take an off-road trip to the region north of Perugia and south of Firenze, west of Livorno and east of San Marino you will find a number of little recording studios. This is Italy’s heartland you pass through when you travel down from Milano towards Rome. It is exactly here where multi-instrumentalists Massi Amadori (guitars, slide guitar, percussions, ukulele, freeze sound & harmonium) and Francesco Tappi (double bass, bows, whistle) recorded „Dead Dance“.

Describing their style as „Latin Desert & Funeral Party“ music, OPEZ clearly go their own special way. But listen to the debut album „Dead Dance“ and you will find that this path is quite an exciting one. Set in a haunting environment of acoustic instruments and an expertly stylish production, the twelve songs recorded by duo Massi Amadori und Francesco Tappi are a journey into a twilight world of emotion and imagination.

C’est en accompagnant Avishai Cohen dés ses 19 ans que Shai Maestro a fait ses armes. Après cinq années à parcourir les scènes les plus prestigieuses aux quatre coins de la planète, l’heure de l’indépendance a sonné, le temps de la création est venu.

Nourri de culture traditionnelle, classique et jazz, Shai Maestro a peaufiné son piano et son talent de compositeur et il a aussi su s’entourer de la meilleure des façons : Ziv Ravitz à la batterie (Lee Konitz, Esperanza Spalding …) et Jorge Roeder à la contrebasse (Roy Haynes, Gary Burton, Julian Lage …). Un Trio envoutant sur disque, magique sur scène.
