We’ve been loving underground UK house hero Mark E for time so it’s a great pleasure to welcome him to Delusions Of Grandeur for his debut release for the label. With killer edits and sublime releases on esteemed labels such as Running Back, Golf Channel, Ghostly/Spectral and his own MERC, Mark E has crafted a distinct and original sound that is uniquely blue collar and utilitarian—classic, deep house, with a tinge of disco warmth.

The Leaning Into The Light EP has more an LP feel and is definitely one for the heads, taking us on a deep trip across five stunning and expansive productions which will leave you well and truly spellbound.
From the opener Swimming Through A Diamond with its raw and minimal groove, glacial FM electric Piano and naive synth melodies you know you’re in for a real deep treat with what’s to come. Compact Object treads a similarly subtle yet captivating path with a stripped back groove and entrancing synth pads and stabs which intertwine and bounce off of each other like light refracting through a prism.

Heartaches loops up a live electric bassline and jazzy piano chords to brilliant effect, creating a blissed out mood and feeling of being suspended in the air, at once muted, otherworldly and contemplative. The title track follows taking us deeper still with majestic chords and a tone palette which calls to mind Larry Heard and the inimitable sounds of Black Dog, B12 and the golden era of ambient techno and IDM.
Closing out this incredible collection of tracks we have Mirrored Cube, another example of Mark E’s mastery of his craft, everything sitting perfectly in its own space and perfect pace rewarding you with its simple beauty.
Mark E also created the original artwork for this release.

“Mystery Project” is the debut album by the iconic music duo known as Myth released under the South African label, Pocket Food Audio . 

The album is beautifully complex with its live feel, expressive vocals, House inspired  percussion, soulful guitars and thoughtful synths, pads and keys that leaves you feeling nostalgic as you are traveling through space on your way to the future. The album consists of 10 original tracks that you definitely cannot consider to be your average kind of House music. 

Myth are the South African electronic duo consisting of Vicmari and Kindred Music SA. They have been good friends since 2018 and have been making music with each other ever since. Their latest album “Mystery Project” took one year to complete using mainly live performance, guitars, vocalists and various analog pieces of gear and digital plug-ins.

Musical legends from opposite ends of the world come together on Hell Yeah’s next EP, where Japanese genius and sonic innovator Calm, collaborates with Finnish muso Jimi Tenor on ‘Big City Takes’. Featuring two new singles with remixes from the much-celebrated Tapes and Belfast's best-kept secret, The Vendetta Suite, plus a bonus cut. This most satisfying of EPs came together when the psychedelic space-jazz-funk king and noted musician, composer and producer Jimi Tenor was in tour in Japan. Label head Marco Gallerani arranged for him to head into Calm's studio in Kawasaki, Tokyo, and that’s where magic happened.

'Big City Takes' is gloriously lush, with serene chords, delicate flutes, and organic percussion. Tenor's airy vocal brings in the soul as an intimate and late-night groove emerges to melt your heart. Then comes two remixes from Tapes. The first is powered by dusty old-school drum breaks, doused in subtle euphoria with a nimble bassline down low, while the second is stripped back to a pulsing rhythm and killer phased bass, while stretched out chords bring sunrise feelings to the kaleidoscopic groove.

On the flip, Calm offers a version of 'Time & Space' that is eight minutes of exquisitely blissed-out downtempo. Chords ripple like waves, flutes flutter like birds and the whole thing is filled with the joys of a new spring day. The remix comes from The Vendetta Suite. This under- the- radar talent has collaborated with the great David Holmes and is a Hell Yeah regular. Defining his native Northern Irish scene with his fresh fusion of sounds, his version brings a new age ambiance to a post-rave Balearic comedown, dousing you in life-affirming synths as drums gently persuade you to sway along. Bonus track 'Trans-Siberian Express' is a flute-led and mystic bit of dubby jungle jazz that closes this magical EP in style.

His label Trend Records released a lot of young talents alongside masters like Paul Johnson, Ricky Montanari and Paul Cut.
The music has been played by artists like Osunlade, Vincent Floyd, Alexander Robotnick, Terry Farley, Ben Sims and Fred P to name a few.
Alessio has performed in great clubs around Italy and not only: Berlin, Zurich, Barcelona, London, Tunis and more to come.
