Markantonio’s label AnalyticTrail is devoted to techno, and the latest release features an EP from Greek artist Spiros Kaloumenos.
Spiros Kaloumenos is one of the people who pioneered techno in Greece playing charismatic DJ sets that eventually lead to bookings in other parts of Europe.
Having already become established as an international artist, he soon became known as much more than just a DJ, as his early productions where signed by Marco Bailey to his label MB Elektronics in 2002.
MB Elektronics became the spring board for Spiros' own productions and his decade spanning impressive back catalogue now includes releases on Respekt, Phobiq, Pornographic, Planet Rhythm, Naked Lunch and FLASH Recordings.
A core part of the AnalyticTrail family, this dark and driving release is Spiros Kaloumenos' third EP for the label. Strictly dance floor focused, it delivers everything fans have come to expect from one of techno’s most consistent artists.

Back when we were just getting going with things here at LAMP, I put together a Track of the Day review for Kaiserdisco's Jet Stream. That was #002 off of their label KD Raw, and was released in early 2015. Today I am happy to share release #026 produced by the duo which consists of two tracks "Form" & "Figure". That Technicolor palm that graces all of their album covers is like a beacon to me that is saying, "hold on stop what you are doing and listen to the hand cause I got some techno for you!" Our premiere for you today Figure is the latest techno gem from these two and it releases tomorrow. 

Kaiserdisco have been and continue to be a powerful force and wonderful contributors to the world of house and techno for over a decade now. Sharing their love for music across the continents. Being the techno geek that I am Figure was a no brainer when it was presented to us. The opening kick grabbed right away. I love how big and warm it feels. It is like someone wrapping me in a blanket of bass. Continuing down the road we get a lot of really interesting percussive elements, Shakers and rides combined with really hollowed out bass line that drive and give the song a gritty warehouse vibe. A little ways further down the road a plucky rave synth comes in that meanders and modulates throughout the track reminding me of some of that old industrial techno from the late 90's. This track pumps hard and I can just imagine the crowd going absolutely nuts when this track blasts through the speakers. Make sure you grab this release tomorrow when it releases and to follow KD Raw and Kaiserdisco to keep up to date on all of their past, current, and future releases.

Don Weber is an exciting young talent working his way through the ranks, with DJ support for his music coming from the likes of Joseph Capriati, Sam Paganini, Luigi Madonna, Spartaque and Paco Osuna. Already he has had tracks chart inside the techno section of Beatport’s Top 100, and this is another EP that showcases his exceptional talent for unmistakable riffs and explosive percussion.
The EP opens with the hypnotic vocals of “No Excuse” that has old school chord stabs and thumping percussion at the heart of its full throttle groove. Next up is the pounding kick drum and bleeping euphoria of “Exstasy”, before the final track “Get up” finishes the release with a bang.
