Fabien Kamb – “Subtle/Monday Evil” EP


Saying goodbye to the autumn, Low Flow Records enters its winter phase by presenting an “evil” package by the label’s very co-owner – Garry Mkrtchyan a.k.a Fabien Kamb. 
“Subtle/Monday Evil” EP is Fabien’s second full-fledged release on Low Flow, which in contrast to the previous deep house-oriented “Homelands” EP, is a pure embodiment of Kamb’s unique deep tech fusion.
The EP starts with a track called “Subtle” – a 100% groover, filled up with the trademark liquid synth waves and intellectual bleeps, competently penetrated by the exclusively recorded vocal samples.
“Monday Evil” being the second recording in the package, plates out by its wild tribal percussion lines, psychedelic samples and perfectly layered ‘technoesque’ sound textures which turn the track into a definite tech house pearl.
On the remix duties we have pleasure to introduce the rising tech house stars - Responz, who already appeared on the Low Flow’s earlier releases, and this time representing their version of “Monday Evil” – a really dark and narcotic tune with the 6/8 techno beats and sub-sounds.
All in all LFR007 claims to be a must have recording to burn the dance floors in the upcoming year of 2010 – thus, it is high time for “evil”…

Garry Mkrtchyan (aka Fabien Kamb)


Born in Yerevan, Armenia - Garry Mkrtchyan is the man acting as DJ, musician and producer under the stage name Fabien Kamb. Making his first musical steps back in the 90's, while being totally blown away with the ever-growing electronic sounds, Garry made his initial attemps in starting a career as a producer as he started to research sound production and engineering. Since then, he has established himself to produce electronic music covering a wide range of genres like Ambient / IDM / Drum'n'Bass, while simultaneously experimenting with various sounds. During this period of time, Garry collaborated with many like-minded people, eventually finding a production colleague and true friend in Ashot Babayan (also known as Krummstoff), with whom he founded the duo "Mad and Spectral". Creating numerous tunes based on organic house rhythms while deeply flavored with jazz, funk and soul music, the duo introduced a solid track record in collaboration with many vocal performers and session musicians. Moving forward MaS launched another project by the name of Salt Sweet which was mostly oriented at creating progressive house tracks and later on evoked two separate aliases: Fabien Kamb (for Garry Mkrtchyan) and Krummstoff (for Ashot Babyan). Fabien Kamb's angle concerning the ever-evolving house music trends and his sense of self confidence places him among the internationally renowned DJs and producers of our time.

Surely enough, the list of record labels wishing to have Fabien on board, and the number of other artists wishing to have him remix one of their tracks is constantly growing.

The music of Fabien Kamb is a pure reflection of the whole spectrum of his musical researches and sound engineering experiments, which at this point are mostly concentrated at tech- and deep house and are reflected in his album which was released on Plastic City end of september 2011 in cooperation with Low Flow Records from Armenia. His everlasting curiosity and his ability to melt the vibes of the clubs into his tracks have made way for his album "Origin" and it's 11 ecstatic tunes that cut right to the chase - both from the angle of musicality and sound engineering.
