And here they roll again. The beloved duo that is Animal Trainer is finally back on Hive Audio after they smashed dancefloors with their „Lost In Space EP“ back in 2018. Now, for the labels first release of 2020, the „Crucita EP“ the conjunctional studio force presents two brand new cuts which are about to define dancefloor vibes for months and seasons ahead.

With „Crucita“, the EPs title track, the two studio wizzards are presenting a highly seductive take on mysterious Tribal-infused TechHouse with floating, aerial synth pads seemingly influenced by remainders of echoes of 80s SynthPop vibewise before progressing further into a fever'ish, melodic state, bringing forth big breakdown sequences and tender, crystalline melodic string arrangements, shimmering like sparkling fairies having a ball in crisp moonlight.

The follow up „Let Me Sing“ sees Animal Trainer on a pumping musical tip. Masterly sculpted muscular bassdrums set the tone right for an ever building array of percussive elements, rolling basslines and intertwined synth progressions moving through a variety of complex filters as a hypnotic main motif leading towards short, yet epic panorama break sequences able to open up punters hearts and souls within only fractions of a second.

Each Other 'Same As It Never Was'

Busy New Yorkers Max Pask and Justin Strauss team up to become the city's golden boys of a golden era and deliver DEEWEE's latest single release Be Nice To Each Other. The A1 Same As It Never Was marks a newly initiated (sound) period combining tinny drums with hypnotic yet driving chords that alternate but do not contest with each other for the lead. Thus the attached vocal gains enough space to support the overal dark atmosphere of the take and creates a symbiosis of different influences in terms of sound. Same As It Never Was rings in a new wave of music turning the '20s of the 21st century to a decade of musical liveliness.

Each Other's single 'Be Nice To Each Other' will be released on DEEWEE on February 7th, 2020.

Exclusive Panorama Channel & Pletnev 'Blavatsky'

When two become one is the story of Russian based artist Panorama Channel and Lithuanian producer Pletnev who team of for Biologic Records' latest EP Blavatsky, which comes with three orginal takes and two remixes from Simple Symmetry and Yu Su. The title track of the EP, Blavatsky,namely goes back to Russian-American occultist Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, whose famous works The Secret Doctrine and Isis Unveiled have had a major influence on esoterism. Thus, the title track of the trio's first common EP takes its listeners on a theosophical trip as it combines a mid-tempo vibe with psychedelic soundscapes that hurry-scurry at various levels of the track and therefore refer to several human senses creating mental responses.

Panorama Channel & Pletnev's EP Blavatsky will be released on Biologic Records on February 21st, 2020.

Eponymous first EP from the renowned eclectic producer drops March 9th

Revered for his mesmerising DJ sets and uniquely memorable productions, electronic artist Matthias Meyer expands his range further, launching his new imprint Strangely Enough.

The label will be a platform for his own diverse sound explorations, while releasing special collaborations with some of his favourite producers – names to be announced soon.

‘The label allows me to explore different realms of production with added freedom,’ Matthias says. ‘In my DJ sets, you find lots of different elements, from deep house to breakbeat, hip hop to trance. I want to include these aspects in my productions going forward. Unique music but still deep, with lots of energy.’

Strangely Enough’s eponymous debut release is the epitome of Matthias’ vision, showcasing his varied musical palette.

The title track combines a dark vibrant groove with haunting vocal fragments. A powerful weapon in expert hands, this cut sits in that indefinable space between the dance floor and the after party, heralding those legendary moments in Matthias’ long afterhours sets at his Watergate residency or in far flung lands from the Sahara desert to Bahrain. Catchy from the off, ‘Fantazy’ continues the theme of refusing to commit to just one style, going from breaks to driving house, with an almost defiant emotive breakdown.

‘Strangely Enough’ drops on March 9th on vinyl and digital.

Exclusive Speaking In Tongues - Voodoo Moon

After a successful 2019 with releases on TAU and microCastle Speaking In Tongues kick off 2020 with the first out of five installments on their very own and enterily re-branded label Eternal Order, namely their double-sided single Voodoo Moon. The single's eponymous track is built around percussive driven sub-frequencies as a mono-chord and multi-facetted vocals, which adopt the chord's tonality, set the basis for thetake before various elements, mainly rhythmical addings, and an eternal voodoo-esque horntakes the track even deeper to the musical sound ritual and maneuvers the audience into a heavy state of trance. Speaking In Tongues start the new decade quite tricky and trippy yet classy and close an existing vacuum in the scene as their Voodoo Moon release has already gained major support from artists such as Toto Chiavetta, Amberoom or Frankey. 

Speaking In Tongues' single Voodoo Moon will be released on Eternal Order on March 6th, 2020.

Exclusive RSS Disco - Lunar Fling (Das Komplex Remix)

After a first set of remixes of RSS Disco's track Lunar Fling, which were released in December 2019 on Mireia, a second round of different musical approaches to the track is rung in just in time of the new decade. Lakeshouse and Das Komplex took on remix duties for the label's first release of 2020. The latter, whose real name is Marcin Lukaszewicz, has been putting out selective works on labels such as Father And Son Records And Tapes and Paramida's Love On The Rocks and has started hitting all sorts of people's radar, amongst those Dj Harvey, who has supported some of Marcin's music at some of his shows. His remix approach for Lunar Fling, understandably enough, captures several moods and influences, so basically Das Komplex does just what his artist name suggests, he takes the listener through complex sounds, which are incorporated into a multi-layered arrangment, in particular Marcin combines the disco-ish note from the RSS Disco original take with piano chords as well as deep and dark textures. 

RSS Disco's single 'Lunar Fling' will be released on Mireira Records on March 9th, 2020.

Named after the Egyptian crocodile god, Sobek channels inspiration from a reptile of a different kind here. 'Charmer' is a pulsating afro techno cut anchored around a hypnotic synth line bound to enchant dancefloor and serpents alike.

David Mayer, veteran of Objektivity, Mobilee and Keinemusik adds a dose of unpredictability on his rework, upping the ante with a rolling techy bassline offset by wistful pads for an exciting, unstable feel that satisfyingly just holds together.
