Warm-up for Marcel Dettmann, I played from 23-4. Originally it was planned to play only 4 hours but things got delayed a bit and I was granted another hour. My personal challenge was to not play any record by Marcel, MDR Records or Ostgut Ton.
About 3-4 shitty transitions in the mix because a) I was nervous as fuck, opening for one of my dj-heroes and b) I couldn't get used to the partially new monitoring. Fuck it, I'm always getting there in the end plus you can hear I'm working and not just syncing :)

French artist Chloé (@chloe-dj-producer) has, without a doubt, led an entire generation to her electronic music playground – one that goes beyond club and techno. Chloé is a composer, meaning she gives life to an artistic idea. Working with electronic means allows for the possibilities to be expanded tenfold. The challenge is to keep a kind of certainty despite the doubts that arise throughout the creative process. This inner questioning and contradiction nourish and motivate Chloé's work. Check out her impressive performance when she took over the Gain by Gorillas stage during DGTL Amsterdam 2022.

Being released as a special marbled vinyl that comprises of two tracks, Alan’s original uses a large heavy kick with intricate high hat patterns that please the ear and add some funk to a heavy straight kick drum. The stabs are the main feature of the track and add a palpitating rhythm throughout before the main pad enters and packs it out. Benjamin Damage steps up to deliver an outstanding remix of Alan’s original and creates a more chuggy, brutal bludgeon. He uses Alan’s original stabs in a more aggressive manner that see’s Benjamin’s remix soar!

Swedish festival Into The Valley has already been named one of the top festivals in the world and it hasn't even taken place yet, it's a two day celebration of electronic music where Dalhalla - a former limestone quarry and one of the most unique venues in Sweden - is rebuilt to an open air club. The festival takes place from July 31st to August 2nd in Dalhalla, outside of Rättvik which is located about 280 kilometres from Stockholm and tickets are still available. Artists performing includes Four Tet, Mount Kimbie, Nicolas Jaar, Ricardo Villalobos, John Talabot, Richie Hawtin, Carl Craig, Âme, Axel Boman, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Nina Kraviz, Ida Engberg, Benoit & Sergio, Genius Of Time, Dixon, Kim Ann Foxman, Baba Stiltz, Kornel Kovacs etc.

Into The Valley takes the pulse of the city to the heart of the forest. By being an extension of previous projects the club feeling is intact, though the context is different. An urban club environment is recreated, and maximized while sound, machinery and lineup aligns with Dalhalla’s majestic backdrop of trees, water and sky. The limestone quarry transforms into a stew of deep electronics and artificially created light warped far from its original destination. Into The Valley is a dream come true for everyone involved, and expectations are high.

We here at Discobelle have teamed up with the organizers Segren Hedlund and in the weeks leading up to the festival we will present exclusive mixes from some of the performing artists, first out we have an amazing mix from Stockholm dj/producer @jessiegranqvist who gives us 58 minutes of dark and brooding techno, perfect to listen to in the summer heat.
